Title:  Caged
Author: Alaylith
Rating: G
Characters: Watson
Summary: The attic is not a simple prison - it is a cage. And Watson feels it. (July Prompt 28)
WordCount: 237
Prompt: July 28 ~~~ Enclosed spaces
Author's Note: Just a quick one; I am soooooo tired after the long day in the amusement park (but it was sooooooo much fun ^^). This takes place after Nightly Companion and right before Blood Revenge (thus it takes place on the third day of Watson's kidnapping). And now if you'll excuse me; my bed's calling for me. Zzzzz....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watson was calm on the first day after the kidnapping. He was a little bit worried, but overall quite calm.

Watson was angry on the second day after the kidnapping. He may not be the youngest any longer, but it should have never been so easy to catch him unaware. He hunts criminals for a living; no one should ever be able to catch him like this.

And now on the third day Watson is something he seldom is - he is afraid.

He has no light and the attic is a small place. Grey winter light shines through the small window, but it only gives the room a cold feeling and the attic looks even smaller as the countless boxes and chests throw big and dark shadows over the room.

Watson was never afraid of enclosed spaces, but now he feels how the fear crawls over his skin and his breath burns coldly inside his chest. The piles of boxes tower over him, their silhouettes threatening and Watson swears he is able to see how the attic grows smaller.

And the worst is that Watson knows he can not escape. He is caged and the only man with a key to his prison does not know where he is.

Watson tightly closes his eyes and rests his forehead on his drawn up knees. Hopefully Holmes will find him soon.
Before he is going to loose his mind.
