Ok, so I went to DF and Taxco this past weekend, and it was INCREDIBLE. Taxco was gorgeous and full of cheap jewelry (not to mention the best pizza in Mexico!) and me and the girls had tons of fun. If the guys had come with us, they probably would have thrown themselves off of the mountain. You think I'm joking... DF was incredible too (that's Mexico City for those of you not in the know...

) as we went to the soccer game of the year (Chivas vs. America- huge rivalry in Mexico) and there were like 100,000 people there... it was AMAZING!!! Unfortunately, my Chivas lost... but it was still tons of fun! We were soooo close to the field... and four of us got on the jumbotron (I was not one of the lucky ones... oh well). It was good times. Then we wandered the DF on Monday, mostly just the Paseo de la Reforma and took fun pictures on the fun benches. If you haven't checked out my photos on Yahoo recently, make sure to check the photos from Taxco and DF! They're not all there- I'm still missing a few bench pics and all the pics from the game, but you'll get a general idea of all the funness that went down.
Anyway, I thought I would share with y'all the reason that I can't do laundry. It is mostly fixed now, but this was its state Tuesday and Wednesday:

Yeah... the maintenance guys came in and took it all apart for some unknown reason. It was working fine on Monday night, as I did a load of jeans (and lucky that I did, or I'd be without pants!) so I don't know what their reasoning was... Now it's mostly back in the shape of a washer/dryer, but the basin for the washer and some other stuff is still under the sinks in the bathroom... and so there's a nice "NO FUNCIONA" sign taped on the machines. I just had to share that with everyone. Hopefully that cheered you up, or at least made you make a funny "WTF??" face.
I guess that's the price you pay for free, in-dorm laundry...
Also bumming me out is the fact that CV is having a sort of lock-in tonight and I really wanted to go (they're doing poker and all sorts of fun stuff again!) but I have a 10 AM class tomorrow that I absolutely must go to as we have to hand in a group project and I'm the only group member who will actually be in the state of Puebla tomorrow. So... other than going for a couple hours for Cafe Ingles, I just don't see how it's gonna work. Kinda bummed, but that's life. I go to everything else at CV... so maybe they just need a Jen break
