It has been a crazy long time since I posted anything - here are the happenings since May.
*Went to PSLA (Pennsylvania School Librarians Association) Conference and met author/illustrator Judy Schachner and author Ridley Pearson - amazing experience
*The conference was in Hershey so I had to visit Chocolate World as well :)
*Spring semester finished May 7 - only summer classes left for me!
*Went home Mother's day weekend and got my dress fitted for Erin & Mike's wedding - I adore it!
*Started working at the circulation desk at the university library - our big project for the summer: shifting the collection - joy
*First weekend class - storytelling started and I have it again this weekend - fun stuff
*I went to Cambridge, Maryland for an interview with the Dorchester County School System - haven't heard back from them yet
*I got to drive over the Bay Bridge that crosses the Chesapeake Bay - completely amazing!
*Kim came to visit from Connecticut - we explored Cook Forest and went shopping in DuBois
*Went to see Indiana Jones - I heart Indy! :o)
*Fun explorations with Kendall and Beth - adventures in finding the best ice cream and taking wonderful walks
*Sent in my cover letter and resume to the Orion Township Public Library who is looking for a children's librarian!!!
*Started working in the computer lab in the LS department - I get to enter job postings in the database
*Summer I session started yesterday - I'm taking Rural Issues in Library Services - our big project for that is a research paper no less than 30 pgs - double joy :oP
Upcoming events -
*Well - there's really only one big one I can think of - Erin & Mike's wedding!
I'm leaving here Monday night or Tuesday morning to get home and then leave from there Wednesday morning to get to Erin's folks' in Wisconsin - so very excited!
On that same topic there are two more weddings this summer: Kelly Liz's in July and Becca Lynn's in August - I am most definitely getting myself to Kelly Liz's, but am still unsure about Becca Lynn's only b/c it is the weekend right after I am all done with school and I don't know where I'll be going or anything.
Kendall was kind enough to bring up the fact that her and I only have 10 weeks until we are done and it freaks me out just a little bit. To think I will have my MLS after that time and will (hopefully) have a job and be moving again...oh goodness.
Well, I have homework to do - besides the big research paper, we have 5 pg papers due every week...here goes...
