I attempted to revitalize some older stuff, and failed at some of it while doing crack with the rest. You have been warned. (Of what I'm not sure. Ask me again in the morning, though my chances of remembering are slim.)
Title: Infatuation
Fandom: Fire Emblem: PoR/RD + a few years
Ships: Rolf->Rhys->Titania->Greil
Rating: PG (I guess)
“She doesn’t love me, you know that?”
Rolf froze, unsure as to what he could possibly say in response to that. Everyone in the Greil Mercenaries had realized that Titania was in love with Greil, and always would be, especially after seeing her reaction to his death, now five years past.
But still, Rhys had been the closest to the red-headed knight, and if anyone would have been able to win her love, it would have been the priest, so this admission of failure… Rolf couldn’t even begin to describe it.
“I don’t think she’ll love again,” the priest continued, the alcohol loosening his tongue. “And, somehow, I think she’s okay with that.” He sighed, staring into the red liquid in his glass. “I think maybe I’m okay with it too. Not her not loving again, exactly, but her not loving me.”
Rolf’s heart caught in his throat, and he took a drink, promptly choking on it. Rhys pounded his back, grinning a little.
“That surprised, eh? I guess I am too.”
“Rhys…” Rolf started, but found anything he was thinking of saying gone before he could get the words out, so instead he asked, “What are you going to do now?”
“I don’t know,” the priest replied, taking another swig. “I guess I’ll try to find some work somewhere. Or something. With Commander Ike off wandering the world - oh, did you hear about him? And Soren? They’re headed off across the desert, last I heard from them.”
Rolf shook his head and put a hand on the other man’s shoulder. “Come on, Rhys. No more drink for you. You can stay here tonight, and, if you really need a place to stay, I’ve got more than enough room.”
“Really? That’s awesome, Rolf. Thank you, thank you very much.”
In trying to get Rhys to a pallet, he ended up leaning into Rolf’s personal space, invading it in his drunken urge to fully convey his thanks. The archer had to close his eyes and breathe for a moment, though he regretted the motion immediately after, smelling only that minty Rhys scent and the sharp tang of the wine.
Just an infatuation. Just an infatuation. Just… don’t. do. anything.
A sudden snore broke through the haze, and Rolf could only sigh a little before lifting the snoozing priest higher on his shoulder so he could walk him over to an extra pallet that he kept around for visiting friends.
“Oh Rhys, you have no idea,” the archer sighed before heading to his own bed, where he would sleep alone, once again.
Title: Russian Roulette
Fandom: Digimon 02
Pairings: Ken/Izzy, Davis/Joe, Davis/Ken (Yes, you read that right.)
Rating: G
Ion: Mortification
Notes: I claimed this a while ago but only randomly picked the pairings (names in a hat, it was kinda funny) and never actually worked on it. Well, now it's done, yaaaaaaay~! But there is crack. Just so you know. ^^
Hands touched cold metal, and the next thing he knew, lips were on his as heat flooded his body. It felt so good, that heat, that warmth that reached places that hadn’t been warm since -
speeding car - flying - falling -
This was something that he wanted, something that made him happy. This was understanding. They were both brilliant, both had pasts -
he had said once that his parents weren’t his -
Red hair and red lips -
What’s that sound?
Brains to nearly match his own, though it wasn’t close eno-
there's someone else -
kind eyes and a gentle heart that cared for those around -
This was all he needed -
No! No! Not this! Not -
There was nothing wrong with this, nothing could tear -
Ken’s knees hit cold metal and his eyes fell on T.K.’s shoes. He looked up at the other boy, panting and wondering what had just happened.
“Here,” T.K. said, holding out a hand, which Ken gratefully took. “I don’t know that that thing was, but the four of you look pretty beat up.”
Ken turned to look at the three around him, and found that he was unable to meet Izzy’s eyes - just as the red-haired boy was unable to meet his. He looked away nervously, and saw Davis and Joe doing the same exact thing.
Davis blushed as they looked at each other, and then looked away, and Ken couldn’t help but blush too at the thoughts that had sprung up just then.
T.K. looked around, studying the others, but wisely kept his mouth shut when Yolei demanded to know what happened, instead insisting that they return to the real world for some much needed rest.
Title: Foundation
Fandom: Pendragon
Pairing: Mark/Courtney (OTP!)
Rating: G
Originally, people like them would never have even met , much less talked to each other, but there was something that brought them together, something that made them as much a part of each others’ lives as a couple would be.
And perhaps that was just a self-fulfilling prophecy. They felt like a couple, and slowly but surely, they began to move that way.
Bobby had been the foundation of their relationship - he had brought them together. But, even without him around, they found that they were stronger together than they ever could have been alone, especially when taking on the most dangerous man in all of Halla.
