I'm down to getting maybe four or five hours of sleep a night, none of it particularly restful. It isn't a matter of not trying or not getting to bed early enough; on some occasions I've been in bed and trying to sleep for four hours before it finally happens. Sleeping pills don't work. Light exercise before bed doesn't work. I don't drink caffeine within at least two hours of trying to sleep. As a result, I spend a lot of my waking hours in something of a fog and find it difficult to express myself clearly. There have been times when I've been able to force myself to sleep for much longer, about ten hours or so, but I don't feel any better when I wake up.

This has been going on for a month.
