This one was written in Dec 2003, after a hiatus of several months-- between pregnancy and the horror of "The Partisan", I just couldn't get back to it.

The thought suddenly occurs to me, a little late, that I probably should have backdated these suckers to keep them off the Friends list of the poor souls who friended me in hopes of seeing my Secret Toy Surprises. Ouchie. Maybe I'll go back and do it-- wonder if that will work?

It's really pissing me off that Microsoft Word defaults saving HTML files with gadzooms of crap no one needs in them, that Front Page doesn't give you a button labeled "get rid of crap", that if you copy directly from Front Page to Word it puts all kinds of crappy span tags in so you have to go through Notepad first, and that there is no way to ( Read more... )

The title comes from the saying "It's always fun until somebody loses an eye." It's a reference to the fact that the Q war was presented, in canon, as funny-- or at least from the perception of Janeway et al, as kind of a silly nuisance.
