So today has been interesting. Watched a program on mystic/holy sites in Britain and one of them was about fifteen miles away. Something of a no brainer to visit (and have already been there, also the area is rather familiar since it is next to one of my childrens favourite sights- Eagle heights), an old Roman Villa that contains evidence of both Water and Christian worship (a lot of the original stuff in now in the British museum).Having the kids run around the place exclaiming at the exhibits was fun and feeling the atmosphere was very different from seeing it o TV.
We then swung by a castle just a little further on, it has an interesting concept to the garden in that each section is shaped like a country or continent and has plants endemic to it planted there. Unfortunately the attached shop had been damaged in the wind so I couldn't pick up the cherry, Blackthorn and Hawthorne saplings I want to grow a braided walking staff.
On leaving we had to drive off the grass carpark up hill, not easy ATM so I got Claire to drive so I could push. Started ok then had to change course as a couple with a pushchair had wandered between the cars on that path, easily coped with as the place was nearly empty.... only Claire sped up and they had to jump out the way. Afterwards she was rather defensive for a while then dropped it.... now she doesn't remember it hardly at all. I honestly can not workout the triggers for these memory lapses, they vary from the important to the trivial and all that connects a number of them is a collapse of judgement. Worrying but so far she has insisted she doesn't need the doctor.
