Big Mouth Strikes Again

Recently I have managed to have several online and real-life associations implode.  I could sit here and blame it on Mercury in Retrograde or something else but I really can only blame myself for some of my recent interpersonal relationship FAIL.  Although, I regret that things came to such an emotional explosive head I find myself almost thankful

Lashing out is an emotional defense you have built up to prevent yourself from being hut again like you were in your marriage - no matter who was at fault for it ending, you were still hurt. Your brain is trying to protect itself from that kind of hurt again by "preventing" anyone from getting too close.

If you never ride in a car, you can't get in a car accident.
But walking everywhere sure does suck, esp in the rain :)

Honesty is going to be the only way thru this. You have to be willing to tell your friend that you have this emotional trigger and ask if they will help you identify it and work thru it.

Don't expect a "Sure! All on ya mate!" from everyone. It will take a special person that will be willing to take the "hit" and then show you the mirror, so to speak.

Well, in terms of the friendship(s) that have ended there is nothing that can be done. I have attempted to say I'm sorry and reach out and repair the damage but either there is no interest on their part (they are done) or I'm being completely ignored.

I think my horoscope today sums it up nicely: "Your heart and your emotions are on the same page, dear Pisces, but you may find that they are not on the page you want them to be. It could be that you are reminiscing about an event from the past. What was once a happy set of encounters is now leaving you feeling like there is a whole rosebush of thorns in your side. Focus on the present, and let the past become history."

I think at this point this is all I can do other than hug my kitty.
