1. baking:
   the quick and easy solution for the slightest chance of bordem. plus, it is a great reason to have a party. I was once good friends with someone who had an hor'deuvre (yeah, i took french for 4 years AND still can't spell or speak it. to give myself a break I haven't had to spell it or read that word in at least 2 years) party. It was her birthday and everyone brought over a yummy treat as her present (and everyone else's). I love it when everyone wins!
2. coincidences:
   There is the guy, Matt Foreman, that I was friends with in Charleston. He is super into astrology and he was always talking about the importance and coolness of paying attention to coincidences. One day I decided to pay extra attention to my running theme of the day, and it was crazy how many times sunflowers popped up during the day. I went to the farmer's market to buy some flowers for my roommates birthday. I chose sunflowers. Then at work we had these really ugly fake sunflowers come in a shipment. I talked to my mom later that day and she told me how she had found out that my brother held onto her credit card longer than she had realized and put $400 worth of gas into his vehicle. In her mind by him not giving it back and going beyond her permission, "yes, you can use this to fill up your tank once" warrented punishment. She decided to make him oaint the extra room above the garage, and made him get the paint. She said yellow, but it ended up being sunflower colored.... Then later that evening, I left the sunflowers at this stupid boy's house.
   I just think it is fun to pay attention to how things are related.

   see above. Also, whenever you need to know something about cooking, just go there.

5. meeting new people:
   I'm moving to New Zealand in less than a month to do just that.
6. polaroids:
   It is just a different way to look at the world. PLus, it is just fun to hear the noise of the picture coming out.
7. receiving letters:
   I personally think that this is the best present ever (esp if it has a cd in it!) It just means that someone took the time out of their busy life to personally reach out to you.
8. soccer:
   I miss playing. I played for 9 years, and haven't had a great experience with it since quitting in the 11th grade. I really just miss the team and being super fit.
9. teas:
   SOOOO good when you are sick or tired. Plus, they are really good for you. Yerbe Mate- so many antioxidants! Be gone free radicals!
10. traveling:
    Fiji-> New Zealand -> Australia----> then maybe China/Japan/Thailand---> and then most likely Alaska by next summer. The world is out there to explore and learn from.
