Bad. Bad mind, bad . . .

Oi, being tired today was bad for my guard against evil thoughts entering my brain today at work. Two times I nearly said something I'm positive would have mad my young co-worker Rachel stare at me with a scared expression. Ah, naive innocent little High Schoolers are funny. Thomas, who has been updated on my evil factor after I couldn't stop laughing about a really not that funny joke he had about a cucumber, wasn't helping.

Anyway, back to today. Rachel was having fun using the word 'raunchy' for some reason. She said that the taste in her mouth was really raunchy so she'd needed to by a pack of gum. Thomas blinked and said that's not the word he would use for bad breath 'cause it had such a bad, sexual connotation to it. Automatically I grinned and said "Well you *could* use raunchy to describe *some* horrible aftertastes then I suppose . . ." and I stopped there, going 'oh crap, Innocent cover blown, blown bad!' as Thomas's eyes got a little wider. Rachel, thank God, was a little clueless and/or didn't quite hear what I said as she continued to debate with Thomas over the definition of raunchy and I quickly set to the task of counting coupons.

Not an hour or so later during a second lull in the checkout line Rachel was playing with a little pink bouncy ball and Thomas snatched it up. Rachel gasped and turned to me, pouting about Thomas stealing her ball. I bit my tongue. Thomas had caught my expression and egged Rachel on. Rachel talked about how she had had two balls, one pink and one blue. I bit my tongue even harder. Then Rachel talked about how her music teacher had stolen the blue one in class one day. I nicely tried to steer the conversation *away* by saying teachers were always mean about steeling things from students. Thomas was evil, he commented that the teacher obviously took it because Rachel had been having too much fun playing with it. I decided it was time to get a drink of water.

Thomas is evil. I like Thomas. However, I will not be held accountable for breaking or scaring poor Rachel. *chuckles* But soon, soon my evilness can waft uninhibited once again. ^_^
