Swollen eyes, church fetes and anime watching

Aug 20, 2005 21:45

So today we (myself and my younger brother and sister) were supposed to be going into Norwich to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but two little things stopped that happening. First my sister's hayfever was at its worst and she could hardly breathe, bless her, and nothing seemed to be helping. Then I woke up and felt shooting pains going through my right eye (I had them yesterday but nowhere near as bad) and so I got up and wandered through to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Big mistake! My right eyelid had swollen up so that it was more than twice its normal size (not pretty). I'm assuming it has something to do with the little spot/sty thingy on the upper rim of my eye, but I'm no eye doctor. All I did was take a couple of doses of Ibuprofen throughout the day to help the swelling and the pain and leave my lenses out. It seems to have gone down somewhat now, thankfully.

Anyways, I ended up breaking the news to my younger brother that neither my sister or I were fit enough to take him to the cinema. He took the news surprisingly well and went back to sleep for a few hours XD Then this afternoon I took him down to the local church fete that was going on today. He met up with his friend James and together they spent all my money on the various stalls (mostly the coconut shy), haha. I did manage to buy myself a book; The Journeys of Socrates, which is a bestselling novel about a boy's struggle to first become a warrior and then a wiseman, looks really interesting (and interllectual, guess I'll start reading that when I go to Uni XD) I managed to drag Henry away by 5pm, by which time I felt like all my energy had been sucked out of me.

Apart from that today I've been sitting on my bed watching anime. Bleach 45, which Lunar finally released, and Gundam Seed eps 21-28. I shall stick my musings (and squees) under a cut incase of spoilers.

First off, Bleach. Not too much musing on the episode itself, except that watching Ichigo fight with Zangetsu was too funny, but only cos of midnightdiddle's drabble about those two as a pairing *sniggers* No, the thing that caught my attention the most was the ending with Momo and then the preview for the next episode. We're gonna get some more flashbacks of my favourite group of Death Gods, most notably Momo and Shiro *grins* Yayness! Can't wait for next week now!

I watched the first 20 episodes of Gundam Seed a while back and have been waiting to get my hands on the rest and now finally have up to 39ish. Today I've watched episodes 21-28 and the biggest shocker would probably be that Kira and Cagalli are actually brother and sister. I mean I got the feeling they might be related cos of how similar their faces are but having it confirmed was like shocku! Hehe. Guess me thinking they might make a good couple is a bit wrong now XD Oh well, Kira x Athrun forever!! Hahaha *waves the yaoi flag of d00m* Ehehe. Wish I could write proper, intelligent musings for Seed as well but all the facts and whatnot have kind of swallowed me up and killed my brain (just like Wing did) so I'm just gonna concentrate on the cute pilots like I did with Wing XD

Phew! That's my musings over with. My mum and Adrian are back from Italy really late tomorrow night. Will probably have to stay up till like 3am to let them in as they don't have a house key, oh well. Might be able to find a way to skip going to the dentist monday morning like this *whistles innocently* evil dentists, grr.

I think I shall try and write some ficcage now (most likely FA) cos the words seem to be flowing for me tonight. This entry got written with a lot more ease than I thought it would. So hopefully I can get something written for chapter 3. Haven't written any for ages now *guilty face* Until next time!
