So last night I went to see Take That at City of Manchester stadium with my mum. We had seen them on their last two tours but this was extra special for me 'cause of Robbie being back. Back when they were first about in the early 90s and I was 7/8 years old, I loved Robbie the best. He was always my fave and it just felt complete again for them to be a 5 piece once more, and boy, did it blow me away!!
So um...my mum and I got the bus to the stadium and arrived there about 5:30pm (half hour after the gates opened) and it was already teeming with middle-aged women, lol. We got in and found a spot near the front and settled in to wait for Take That's support, Pet Shop Boys, to come on. It was a long old wait so I decided to take some photos of the stadium (it may be Man City's stadium but there's no denying it's pretty magnificent)

And mum took a picture of me with the stage in the background ^^;

Pet Shop Boys came on at about 7pm, and it started raining (hooray ¬_¬). We watched a few songs, including the oh-so-famous:

Before retreating inside for a bit to escape the rain. We had some wine and chips, and I um...picked a fight with an MCFC steward >.> Then we made our way back outside just as they were doing a 2 minute countdown for Take That to come on. It was still raining a bit but nothing really heavy. We were, unfortunately, not as close to the stage now, but we weren't miles away either. They opened with:

I think this photo was during Rule the World (mum took it, her camera is waaaay better than mine)

They also did Patience (obviously) and this video is just a snippet really but it shows you how much the crowd got into it. TT fans love this song, hahaha.

They did Shine and maybe some others and then... Robbie Williams made his grand entrance!! And, this totally threw me, he did 5 (yes, 5!!) of his solo songs!! My mum got annoyed 'cause she doesn't like him, and I have to admit that maybe 5 was too many, 3 would have been more appropriate (it was a Take That show, after all). But I sang along loudly to Let Me Entertain You and Rock Dj, and laughed my head off when he stuck his hand down his pants during Come Undone (or Feel, I forget which ^^; ).

Then he finished his little solo bit with...

Naturally (I apologise if you can hear me singing along on that one ^^; ). That was pretty epic, it has to be said. Then the rest of the boys came back and they did some songs from the new album. They also had this really cute group hug bit (made me kind of teary). Then they did a medley of old songs and omg! Robbie and Mark singing Babe totally had me bawling! I videoed some of it but the file was corrupt D:
They also did Never Forget (ofc!!) and that's another I videoed and the file was corrupt, booo. And Relight My Fire. Oh and epic moment when all 5 of them sang Robbie's song No Regrets!! Amazingness!!
Here have some other random photos that I forgot to put in before:

Yup, Mark Owen is still cute as hell, lolol.
Oh and of course the 'man' (he has a name but I forgot what they called him) 'progressed' from crouching to standing during the course of the concert. Was very clever. Loved the whole journey of it tbh.

Um...so it was really epic, especially when I found out that mister John Bishop was also there last night! My favourite tweet of his from the night was
"At Take That - if I was them I would do a sponsorship with a HRT company for the nest tour" Buwahahaha (my mum didn't think it was as funny as I thought it was, trolol). Oh and this tweet was pretty funny:
"Take That was fantastic -the shock news is Man City have signed Peter Crouch
http://t.co/KmJAGUF" Buwahaha.
We ended up walking all the way back into town (which took 40 odd minutes) 'cause the buses were ridiculously busy, lol. I then took my mum to Fab Cafe (dalek bar!!) for an hour and a half so she could do some more dancing, bless. Was ridiculously tired by the time we got home, as I have been all day today ^^;
Although today I did manage to drag myself into town with my mum 'cause she had an opticians appointment. We had a poke round the shops and then decided to go get a fish pedicure. Mum had had it done before but I hadn't, and we stumbled on this place that had a special offer on (half an hour with a free glass of bubbly for £11.50). It was without doubt one of the weirdest sensations ever. In fact, I'd go so far as saying the first ten minutes were unpleasant. I was not down with the fishies at all and felt that when they got under your foot it actually hurt somewhat. But by the time we got halfway through I got more used to it and relaxed somewhat. And gods but your feet feel lovely afterwards. Amazing!! lolol.
Okies, nearly finished this epic entry. Just got one more thing to say...
MUM AND I BOOKED 2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS IN GOTHENBURG!! :DDD
Stupidly excited 'cause I've not been abroad since we went to Portugal in 2009 and I totally miss jetsetting, hahaha. Plus I've been wanting to go to Gothenburg for a while now, so. (now just have to arrange trips to Denmark/Norway/Finland to complete my Scandinavian tour, hehe). Would have liked to go for a night or two longer but it's too damned expensive over there >.< But I reckon we'll get lots done in 3 days anyways :)
(And Doctor Who icon 'cause I've ran out of steam before I could get round to talking about the latest Who episode. Omg.)
