This weekend has been hellava disappointing. Because of all the snow, the Liverpool v Fulham match was cancelled. So the match that was to be my first ever one I saw actually at Anfield didn't happen. I have to admit, I wasn't surprised when it was announced as postponed, but this huge wave of disappointment hit me right in the gut.
Henry, my little brother, was at the Utrecht match on Wednesday and it turns out he bought me a present whilst there. Which he wrapped up for Christmas. Only Friday night he gave it to me and demanded I open it then and there 'cause I'd need it for the matchthe next day. After some deliberation I conceded to open it (even though I'm against opening Christmas presents early, lol). He bought me this:
And yet in the end, I might as well have left it until Christmas Day, bah. But it's a glorious scarf! My old LFC scarf is so old it only has 4 European Cups on it, lol.
I moped for most of the day instead, wishing so bad I was at Anfield. Watching the Barcelona match in the evening helped cheer me up though. Thoseboys are seriously unstoppable at the moment. I cannot honestly see any team beating them whilst they're playing like this. That one defeat against Hercules was clearly a one off, that befell them early in the season. I don't support a particular team in La Liga, but definitely enjoy watching Barca play most right now. Messi is just breathtaking amazing nearly all the time.
After the Barca match, I went to a Christmas Masquerade house party at my friends' house. Was pretty good, apart from this Villa fan who talked me to death. Honestly didn't think I could tire of talking football, but apparently I can. Especially when the annoying prick started getting all patronising with statements like 'I don't know many girls that actually understand the offside rule'. RAGE!!! D: But yeah, good party.
Another week of work ahead *le sigh* But at least, I guess, I finish at 2pm on Christmas Eve and have 4 whole days off!! Luxury 'r' us, lol.
Oh yeah and I just started -finally- watching Misfits today, since there was no football until La Liga was on tonight. My god! Why did I wait so long to watch this? I do it every single freakin' time.
shabzilla was telling me to watch it a year ago. FML, lol. But yes, watched 3 episodes so far and love it! I feel sorry for all of them in one way or another, but I think I'm most attached to Nathan so far, but then I guess that's what the writers wanted, since his character is so endearing (despite being a complete ass, lol).
Better get my shit together for tomorrow, have a nice soothing cuppa tea, and maybe read some fic before bed.
