When books steal your soul...
Oh my god, I just cried my eyes out. Still can barely stop the tears flowing now. And all because of the book I just finished reading. The Book Thief is an amazing book! but god, the ending. It just ripped my heart out and gnawed on it big time. I mean, I expected a sad ending but that just about killed me. I think it rivals the tears I shed over Goodnight Mister Tom when I was a kid. Christ!
Fully recommend it to everyone though. A truly inspiring book and one I hope they use in year 8/9 classrooms in the future. Just...amazing!
In other, less snotty, news...
I saw Prince of Persia last night. Really enjoyed it! As long as you don't take it too seriously, it's a hellava enjoyable romp of a film. And uh...Jake Gyllenhaal is rather fine to look at in it, haha. Definitely will be purchasing the DVD when it comes out.
This led me on to really wanting to play one of the Prince of Persia games though. And do you think I could find one for the ps2 anywhere in town today? Could I hell! I found them for every platform but! And whilst I could have got one on the psp, I don't really like playing games on the daft thing. So I ended up ordering one from play.com tonight. But this left me with nothing to do tonight! Soooooo boring!
Just have no get up and go right now. Could have gone out; couldn't be arsed. Could have watched a film; couldn't settle on one to watch. Really just, so so restless. Think I'll read some of the mammouth LoM fic I've been snail pacing though and then go to bed. Got a haircut tomorrow (don't know what to have done!) and then in the evening I'm going to see The Hobbit at the Palace Theatre. It's had good reviews, so really looking forward to it :D
