Time for a meme, as prompted by
batmanboxers Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.
1. Cabbage Town. Okay okay, so um...this is a new interest of mine. Conor Oberst just released a new album and he decided to include a song called Cabbage Town and now I totally want to go to Cabbage Town. Now it's technically a real place (two places, in fact; one in Canada, one in the US, I believe - yes, I wiki-ed it, eheh) but I want to go to Conor's Cabbage Town, wherever and whatever that may be XD
2. Adam's tree antics.
Need I say more? Eheh, alright, I will. I love this picture and I love the idea of Adam climbing things, especially trees (and I love Adam, but you knew that already, eheh), and pretty much everything I've ever written Adam in, he's climbing a tree, so um... yeah. Adam = tree climbing, totally adorable, monkey :D
3. Peanut butter. Anyone that reads my lj entries (or my tweets) knows that I eat a whole lot of peanut butter. I am actually a pb addict. I eat anything with peanut butter in. Perhaps the most disgusting sounding thing (it wasn't actually disgusting, haha) was a peanut butter, banana, jam and chocolate bagel. It was immense! (and I felt rightly sick afterwards, ha). I also had a peanut butter cup ice-cream in Central Park last year, and that was one of the highlights of my NYC trip, haha.
4. Orange everything. Um...I'm kinda obsessive with the colour orange. My most favourite item of clothing that is orange are my orange skinny jeans. They are the only pair of skinny jeans I own 'cause any of the 'real' denim skinnys actually cut off the circulaiton to the rest of my body (I have fat legs, woe) I also have two orange bags, two orange ties, an orange hoodie, countless orange tops, orange socks...um yeah, you get the picture :D
5. Oscar Wilde What decent person isn't interested in Oscar Wilde? He is an extremely important and interesting member of the Britsih literary past. I own his complete works in a book I bought from my favourite second hand bookshop, though technically have only read 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' thus far (fail ^^; ). Oh and I have a friend called Dorian and he is obsessed with Oscar Wilde and managed to pass second year at uni almost completely exclusively with studying Oscar Wilde, lol.
6. Hunter x Hunter. This is an anime. One of the few anime that I have gone back to and watched all the way through several times (it's not short either, there's like 4 seasons or so, lol). But it's great! The music in it is great, as are the characters, the storyline and, most importantly, the action, haha. It's definitely one of my faves :)
7. 2x1. Well this takes me back! This is the reason my username is what it is. Back in 2003, when I created my lj account, I was into this wonderfully political gay anime called Gundam Wing. It was one of my first fandoms (at least that I got into big time and wrote/read fics for, lol). 2x1 literally means DuoxHeero, since the numbers correspond to their soldier numbers in the anime. Man, I will always have fond fond memories of being in that fandom, and I reckon the name will always stick with me, heh.
Anyone else want to play, just let me know and I'll pick your seven interests :)
Phew, that ended up being longer than I thought it'd be. I do like to ramble, eheh. I bought Kerrang! today, for the first time in frickin' months! It's got a well long Green Day article in it. Billie-Joe is looking all spiffy in a waistcoat and sheriff's badge in it, remind you of anyone?? Ehehe. If he'd just got hold of a red neck-a-chief... :D
Also, I found out last night that Taking Back Sunday are coming back to Britain at the end of the summer! Omg, is it sad that I am tempted to go see them, again? I know I only saw them a couple or so weeks ago but man, I have total Adam fever. I just can't help myself. That said, so far it doesn't look like they'll be playing Manchester again. I'd have to travel to Liverpool (or even further afield). It is tempting though, heh.
I really should finish here, 'cause this is becoming a rather huuuuge entry. I guess I could go write those drabbles that I still owe. I am so late with those >.< I will get them done, gosh darn it!
*goes to open ms word* :D
