Urgh, should have done this entry before now but been busy. Feel like crap currently as I have the monster of all colds, but I guess this'll help take my mind off it. So Jen and Rin came down here on Wednesday and stayed 'til Saturday. We packed tons in. We all thoroughly enjoyed Panic at the Disco Wednesday night, which I already covered in my last, rather excitable, entry. I did forget to mention that Ryan said they travelled up here by train (which I found very strange, and omg I wish I were on that train, haha) and they really liked our countryside, haha.
Thursday was our shopping day. We met Rob in town and had some KFC, before going to Urbis for the manga exhibition. The exhibition was great! I shall definitely be going back a couple of times while it's still on. I took some photos while I was there, which I shall put under a cut.
Burgerman! He was very squishy and comfortable and we kept throwing ourselves on him, haha.
Some of the pictures on display:
My absolute favourite: (I really want it on a t-shirt)
Kill Bill ness:
Star Wars!:
After the exhibition we did some shopping. I bought random trashy girly manga called 'Absolute Boyfriend'. It's about a girl who has no luck with guys and ends up getting a mail order one. A talking, walking, perfect doll. It's pretty funny. We then came back here, had dinner and got ready for going out. We got to Font Bar just after 9pm and I gave Carmel her birthday presents, which she seemed very pleased with. Then we went about trying every cocktail on the menu, haha. Rin was very drunk and we told him this very often, haha. Was a good night.
Friday we went out to the Peaks so Rin could see some sheep. He and Henry tried to catch them because Rin wanted to touch one; it was rather amusing. We also went to Bakewell and had afternoon tea (Rin's first ever scone, jam and cream, bless) and bought a couple of bakewell puddings to take home. Then when we got back we had some dinner and got ready to go out again. We got to Carmel's at 9ish and had some drinks before leaving for the pub. We stayed in the pub for a bit before heading across to Jillys. Was a very good night out (apart from my sore throat :/). We did lots of dancing (me and Jen went crazy to FOB and Sum 41, haha) and Anna, Hirra and Laura brought a birthday cake they'd made in for Carmel and the twins. Was big and rainbow coloured and awesome!
Saturday was leaving day for Jen and Rin, twas sad. Henry and I saw them off on their coach at 12:40. Twas a very good few days, which I enjoyed very much :D
All that's left to say now...
Happy St Paddy's Day! :D
