Stuff...
So today I had a 10am lecture for my first History unit of the week. The unit's called Edwardian Britain and WW1. It basically deals with Military, Politics and the Social history. I think I'm most looking forward to the Suffragettes; it was always my favourite part of woman's history and actually the only reason I bother voting. I think all politicians are as bad as each other but the Suffragettes went through a lot to secure votes for women, so it'd be rude of me not to use mine really.
Anyways, we didn't have a seminar as it's the first week and they were just introducing us. We'll be looking at the Boer War next week. I met up with Carmel and Anna and we hung out in the computer room for a bit. Then Anna had to get to a midday lecture, so Carmel and I went to get lunch in the refectory. I had a creme egg and it tasted rank, was like solid (I will never eat one out of season again, bleh). I then had to leave at 12:30 to go meet Alex and Charly for the stupid Society Officers training afternoon thingy.
It wasn't so bad. I mean it started at 1pm and didn't finish till half 4, but time went pretty quick. We were told essential things about how to run a society and had to kind of workshop through stuff to address questions and concerns and whatnot. I, as the treasurer, am still none the wiser as to how I deal with all the financial stuff. We'll see how that turns out... I spent most the session thumping Alex, as always, heh.
Tonight I finally cracked open my sparkly new Supernatural boxset and Adrian and I watched the first two episodes while eating dinner. It was a little scary, I assume it'll get scarier. Dean's hilarious and Sam's um...kinda annoying but getting better. I like it so far. Very glad fanfiction made me aware of this show, lol.
I have my first Kickboxing session tomorrow since like the end of May. I've done shit all exercise all summer and therefore am actually going to physically die tomorrow *shudders* I'm nearly scared enough to not go. I hate the first session back after the holidays, but I really do gotta go since I won't be going Tuesday (Hoosiers gig! *squee*).
Anyways, gonna go try do some fic writing before bed. If I can get a bit written each night, I may get it updated sooner than I originally thought, heh.
