I'm afraid I don't know many saints, so can't be any help on that front. My church didn't do the name thing.
But as someone else who had an adult baptism, I'm really glad I did it, and wish you every joy.
And a lot of luck finding a suitable robe :D

Thanks and thanks for not suggesting Cuthbert (who admittedly was one of my 1st 2 thoughts with Crispin.) ;)

Thomas More? Patron Saint of Civil Servants, and principled enough to get his head chopped off by Henry VIII.... Approved of burning Lollards 'though, so possibly a little severe.

According to Wikipedia (reliable as ever ) Adrian (or Hadrian) of Nicomedia is the Patron Saint of guards, which seems to be the closest thing to Border staff - but he seems to have been a fairly crap guard, 'cos he got converted by the prisoners he was meant to be guarding, so maybe not.

Again according to Wikipedia, Erasmus of Formiae is patron saint of anyone who works at great height ( well your head does anyway) even better, he's also known as St Elmo, so you get fire, and classic 1980's cheese named after you.

Therefore, I'd go for Elmo. Albeit Wikipedia is possibly not the best source for something so important.

Sounds like a lovely thing for you to do.
March 31st is the feast day of St Benjamin apparently.

Ooh, and September 5th has St Romulus :)
The above site also has an exhaustive list of patron saints that might be worth browsing.
Security forces - Michael the Archangel
Security guards - Matthew
Refugees - Alban - might be a bit of a mouthful though!
Travellers - Raphael, Nicholas, Anthony, Christopher, Joseph

I haven't looked for names, though Michael could be a good one. I like the ring to it.

Would you like friends to be along to cheer you (quietly) from the sidelines?
