Random thoughts
I need to post more often because I keep forgetting the syntax to use on LJ. I guess I can just use html, though. And I just need to post more often generally. Not posting much is an indication of my frequent withdrawal from the world and going into mental isolation. As Picard might say, I need to "engage." :)
Currently reading Hercule Poirot - The Complete Short Stories" by Agatha Christie and doing far too little housework.
Going to a Kenny Rogers concert tonight. Don't laugh, music nazis. He's been making music since the '50s and AFAIK is the only recording artist to have done so continuously up to the present day, so there. :P
Speaking of music, I've always thought it particularly narrow-minded when people only tend to like the music of their youth. Plenty of superb music was made before I came into existence, and to ignore it would be to deprive myself of wonderful new experiences. So I find it kind of sad and pathetic when I see the playlists of Gen X and Y people at work and see how limited in scope they are. It makes me wonder if they limit their minds in other ways, too.
One of the best things about life has been when family and friends introduce me to new artists that I grow to love, and for that I thank you. One day I'll have to make a list. (In case you're wondering, my interest in Kenny Rogers comes from my dad.)
