Well, I haven't heard back about the job yet. Unless they call tomorrow, I think it's safe to say I didn't get it. It doesn't really bother me though. So long as I'm out there trying, if God wants me to have a job this summer I'll get one. I just wish mom could have a little more faith - she's more worried about it than I am, and it's MY job.
My Slayers TRY DVD Collection still isn't here. I think I may call them tomorrow and try to find out what's going on. I just wish UPS trucks would stop driving by my house - I get all excited, thinking my package is here, and then they just drive past the house. I keep hoping one of them will turn around and come back, but so far they haven't.
I went swimming in our pool for the first time this summer over the weekend. The water is great, though I've discovered I need a new swimsuit. Apparently I've lost a lot of weight, and recently too - I certainly didn't lose it during the school year. If anything, I put on weight during the school year. I eat when I'm stressed, and I don't mean carrots and apples. Hell, I even had a batch of cupcakes at one point during final exams. But now my swimsuit is much too loose. I couldn't even dive in like I usually do for fear of losing my bottoms! I just hope I can find a swimsuit I like. I hate shopping. At least Crystal and I can go together - she hates shopping as much as I do, and is also in need of a new swimsuit.:) Crystal was also here when I (we) went swimming, and we had a really great chat. (and no, I'm not going to tell y'all about it!:p)
Crystal came over again on Tuesday, and we'd been planning on going swimming but the day was just terrible for it. It was cloudy and the air was heavy and damp - we weren't surprised when it started to rain. But we still had fun. Crystal had brought over her copy of Howl's Moving Castle, so we watched it. It was AMAZING! Some of Miyazaki's best work in my opinion, though I'm ashamed to admit that I really haven't been keeping up with all his more recent releases. I still have to buy Totoro and Laputa (Castle in the Sky), and I have no money. Of course, now I also have to buy Howl's Moving Castle. It's a little more computerized than I'd like, but the story is simply amazing and I love Howl! I don't know how anyone could NOT love him. He reminds me of Lestat from the Vampire Chronicles for some reason. And the dog is just so cute and funny! And I've officially named the scarecrow Johnny (and got Crystal calling him that^^), because for some reason he reminds me of Johnny Depp. EVERYONE GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW! And be sure to watch the Japanese version with English subtitles - they always butcher the English version, and the voices are terrible. Just to make sure I get you all DYING to see it, here's the first nine minutes or so to watch.^^
Click me! I think I'm going to have to ask Crystal if I can borrow the movie for a few days - I'm dying to see it again! I love you Howl! *heart* ;)
