The woman was interesting, but not what he wanted. She was good for a momentary distraction, but what really made him sing was elsewhere. He wandered the halls, amused at the people who weren’t used to the weirdness of Pegasus yet and skittered away from him. He ignored them and continued hunting down the tantalizing scent that had clung to the woman, but wasn’t her own.
He heard the yelling first of course, even more amused that people were willing to get closer to him to get away from the terror that was his mate. Apparently someone had left their music playing and it was a vulgar American type of music. He didn’t care, his mate was there and riled up and smelled delicious.

He leaned in the doorway, forcing the scientists still cowering in the room to stay put as he watched his mate tear one of the new scientists verbally into little pieces. He waited to be noticed while he let the more human side of himself contemplate how to get his mate alone. He didn’t want to get torn away from his mate, and the human side didn’t want to hurt anyone. He would work with this since it still got him his prize.
“Sheppard? Did you want something?” His mate provided the perfect opening, so he just nodded and jerked his head back the direction he had come. His mate gave one last glare in the direction of the hapless scientist and followed him. So obedient, he would have to reward that.
