More semi-token cycling this evening; didn't got very far again, but did go distinctly steeper; I decided to combine a trip a little way up the hill to do some can recycling with continuing further up it, then swinging back around Bandon Road. By way of "warm down" after all that puffing and panting, went back around my usual route out Curraheen Road, though only as far as the Ballincollig West junction. From there, back via Greenfields Road. Happily, I "discovered" a road that I knew existed, but was totally confused about how to find from that end, it being both "realigned" in the bypass works, and amazingly mysteriously signposted. On Model Farm Road it's clearly signposted as "Killumney" (which ironically I didn't even get as far as this time), but I'm not sure I've ever been up it from that end (or if I have, I'd long since forgotten). Handy to know, since otherwise Greenfields "T-junctions" into one of the many branches of the N22, forcing a right turn either south to the bypass, or north to the main Ballincollig road.
