Happy new boardgaming!

First boardgaming of two-thousand-and-ten!  Inched my way down to frosthearted  and my_name_is_fiki 's place, to get my first fix since before Christmas.  We were joined by Cormac for a couple of games of Heckmeck Am Bratwurmeck:  that'd be my own stupid fault for having introduced them to it, causing them to get their own copy!  Came last, then second.

Then we played Alhambra:  I'd played this before, back in the Genghis Ken era, but that was so long ago as to be effectively a first play.  Jammied my way to a win, though!  I maintained a couple of majorities throughout, and didn't get shut out of any of the colours.  Didn't do so well on the walls, though: despite nearly stymieing myself by having too few unwalled places to lay tiles, didn't score much for wall segments.

Lastly, we were joined by Rick for a game of St. Petersburg.  This I more or less remembered how to play (having my own copy that's had outings with both the Sunday-evening and Tuesdays gangs), but ending up getting hammered anyway.   Everyone else finished on 80, before the money scoring was done (on which frosty pipped it by one, everyone else getting just one point for cash), I languished back on 60-something.  I think I over-spent on buildings early on, leaving me short of cash for aristos, and even for workers.  Early VP lead soon vanished, and I had the fewest aristocrats at the end.
