History of Now: The Story of the Noughties just ran a piece on "Ryanair airports", which featured our very own Tentacles International, "Frankfurt" Hahn. Shots of the bus-stop, and of the rusty hangers/bunkers they used to stash the military aircraft in. Simon Calder generously allowed it was "in the same country as" Frankfurt. It's not, however, in the same Land, within 100km, or on the same side of the Rhein. We'll gloss over that it was a base for a fighter wing, not B-52s, and was opened in the '90s (nothing like so many buses first time I went!), contrary to what the programme may have implied.
