Who could tell all the tails I've seen this past year and then all the memories????
Ok, ok, so I've been absent from here for a loooooooong time. But I've never been happier in all I'm doing and have accomplished.
Where to start... well let's see... I got married! I didn't even make a post about the best day of my LIFE! So sorry my lovey dovey VR. You're worth more than any amount of writing could ever tell. Well, it was an awesome time. It happened in Sonora, CA. My mom, dad, pregnant sister, pastor, and best friend from college flew out to stand with me to represent da East Side. ;-) Good times. VR and I honeymooned in Monterey Bay, beautiful of what I saw, which wasn't much as I had other things to attend to. :-D We stayed a few days and then drove back to hang out with my family. We took them to Yosemite and the Olive Garden... all family trips MUST include the Olive Garden. They left, and we started our new life together. We then headed out for a 2nd wedding in NY for my side in October. We honeymooned AGAIN in Niagara Falls, absolutely beautiful weather- 70's, the day we left... it snowed 3 feet. LOL for perfect timing, and we flew back to California.
Since then, we have moved, I have relocated my job, stepped down from my job as manager... to become an hourly with a LIFE once again! I love it BTW. I also sell Partylite candles on the side as a hobby, in case I was to ever get bored. ;-) VR has dabbled with a few jobs, college, and a little of this and a little of that. Meaning to say... we've been running around like crazy since we got married, and don't intend to stop!
My sister had her bouncing bubbly baby boy... his name is Ben and he's such a ky00tie. Both our families (VR +me) have been fine. Little excitement around Christmas as far as grandparents are concerned, but all is well.
My new job- I still work for Wal*Mart, but I decided after Christmas, I just wasn't seeing my husband enough for my liking and the company was about to make some changes for management I didn't really like. So, I talked it over with VR and had decided sometime this year, I would step down. Thinking the only thing available would be dept manager or something else I wouldn't be totally thrilled with, but nonetheless have a life again. Well, in January, personnel came open... a desk job with barely any customer interaction! After being manager for so long, it's good to be out of angry customers way. I applied and thank you LORD! I now am a training coordinator-safety leader-community involvement person. :-D Big mouthful, but basically, my job is to have fun and give away $ to the community. I make posters, attend food functions, train associates on things I saw for YEARS they were missing, and help anyone I possibly can. As well as a set schedule that allows me to see VR A LOT more often. I don't think I'll ever have my fill of time spent with him, but I feel waaaaay better. And I am happy.
No little ones on the horizon yet... everyone keeps asking. Whenever God wants to do it, He will. He has blessed us in so many ways this year, and I have missed you all greatly. Many nights, VR and I talk of our online friends, and wish we had all the time in the world to keep up. But schedules are demanding. Please know that even if we disappear for a long time, we are happy, we think of you often, and you are in our prayers.
So I guess that's a wrap in a nut shell. Tons more has happened, but that would take a year to tell. ;-)
