Although my employer didn't close the office the two days that the weather and roads were the worst, I found out today (after being gone all last week) that they really bent over backward to let people make up those days on Saturday and Sunday. Which makes me feel better about them.
Friday, we have fun times: getting the car paperwork taken care of. Which includes inspection, emissions testing, title transfer (to GA), drivers' licenses, and licensing the car. Luckily, there is a bright spot for the day: we got one of those multi-restaurant gift cards for Christmas, so we have our choice of eating at Long Horn (or some steak house) or Red Lobster.
