Made it to Georgia.
We are safely ensconced in our hotel room. Neither of us lost limbs on the drive down here. We're below budget on gas. All good things.
We did get lost in St. Louis. We decided to drive straight through the city so Nathan could see the Arch. Then he insisted on taking a detour to miss a fuck up on an exit that I'm not sure we'd need to take. Anyway, we drove through several neighborhoods of St. Louis, some of which were not the places I'd like to be after dark. (Not East St. Louis, though. I'd've ripped off his arm if he'd got us lost there.) We stopped in Kimmel, Tenn., for the night last night, which is somewhere between Nashville and Chattanooga.
