I am now somewhat gainfully employed.
I went in for an interview at JoAnn, a crafting store, today, and she asked if I wanted to think on it or if I was willing to start right away. Fuck yeah, I want to start right away.
Pros: (1) It'll get me out of the house. (2) I'll be making a little money. (3) I have a employee discount. (4) I really like the store. (5) I like the lady who interviewed me. (6) I asked for Labor Day weekend off for Con on my application, so I'll get it off.
Cons: (1) It's only $7 a hour. I asked for $8, and when the lady called me yesterday, she said starting rate was lower than that, so I was really expecting 6, so 7 is okay. (2) It's only part time. (3) Traffic might kill me sometimes, depending on my hours.
It's amazing how getting even a part time job can be such a confidence booster.
