A few little updates

First, the rules talk included nothing about sex. It was stuff like, I don't know, I'm guessing typical "you need to pitch in to buy stuff too" sharing-an-apartment stuff. Not as bad as Nate expected, thank god.

I woke up at 7 (it's now 7.23) and hit the ground running. I have to be out of my apartment by 11 and on the way out of the city by 11.30 because YAY the doctor needs more blood. At 3. And it's a 3 hour drive (on a good day when I'm not nervous about cops).

Then to the library to return a book and drop some glasses (I got new ones!) in the glasses-donation bin.

Then to the grocery store to get stuff. Like, whatever my sister doesn't get. Camping food. Water. Maybe soda.

Then at 5ish I'm meeting 2 carloads of people (well, not loads, since there'll be 2 in one and 1 in the other) to lead them out of town. Joi and Neol from Illinois and Defen from Oklahoma. YAY. (That's a real YAY not a sarcastic one like the doctor's YAY.) And Neol was trying to get a hold of Doneavan to see if he wanted to come. I didn't hear how that turned out, though.

In the 4 hours I have this morning (now 3.5), I have to work. I think I can get it all done. But god, it's a rush. Bossman Bryan told me yesterday afternoon that they needed these five documents corrected by this afternoon. As in, in 24 hours. Holy Christ folks. I used the "track changes" option in Microsoft Word (LOVE that, so glad Nate showed it to me) and the right margins are full of bubbles. On most pages, the bubbles are abbreviated so that it's just one line on the inside then a "..." and you have to show changes down at the bottom to get the rest of it.

I'm babbling, I know, but that's because I need to get all of this shit out of my head so that I can dive into the work without extraneous thoughts. SHIT I need to pack still. :desk :desk :desk

I shouldn't have signed up for the Sunday Rally. I like doing the work, it's fun to dig up information, but out of town Tuesday and sleepover Monday and Tuesday night and work and out of town early today just hasn't left very much time for other stuff that's fun.

I bought a book about American history and how it was affected by rum, and I am loving it. Fun book and educational. :D
