You know what I'm sick of? Seeing the word "yaoi" or "shonen ai" in the summaries for fanfics that are NOT for an anime or manga series. It's appropriate to use those terms for a series that was originally in Japanese, because they are Japanese words. It is NOT appropriate to use those terms for a book/play/series that was originally in English or other non-Asian language.
Seriously. If you're writing Les Miz slash, do not put "yaoi" or "shonen ai" in the summary. If you're writing DC or Marvel slash, do not put "yaoi" or "shonen ai" in the summary. IT'S COMMON FUCKING SENSE!
EDIT: Unless, of course, your fanfic/audience is in/speaks an Asian language. =)
