Its Here Again.....And Again
The Americans don't have too many festivals. The few that they do are all packed into the last three months of the year - Halloween in October, Thanksgiving in November and Christmas in December (it feels like heaving a huge sigh of relief at the end of the year in which not much got done anyway). While the first is more like an excuse to dress up and party like the pagans, the latter two are solemn occasions. Elaborate food is a major factor - which suits me perfectly fine :) I just need to find someone to invite me over :) Yahoo put in a little bit of red and green on their page the other day. The Mormon Church (oh yeah, we have one !!) on campus just put out a huge tree in their first floor display window, and Starbucks just started giving out their red-and-green holiday paper cups. I love Christmas - for all the glitter that I can collect and string up in my uninteresting life :D Yeah, I know - I can hear the voice in my head saying 'is this the best method you found ? i mean how daft can you get anyway !?'
Afterthought:
I don't think life would have been such a party if we did not have the two voices (sometimes more ?!) in our heads at constant war with each other !! :) :)
