You know how in fics (i.e. smut), people just say "scourgify!" and point at things and they vanish?

Is there any incidence of that actually happening in canon? All I can think of is:

1. When Harry knocks the bowl of Murtlap Essence onto the floor in OotP he uses reparo on the bowl, but nothing on the stain in the carpet.

2.  Does James use scourgify

Yes it was 7:14. I too was astonished at the time difference the first time I worked it out - I thought it was like 10 hours or something.
