“You’re Jin..” Hearing that, Jin’s attention was back on him.
This is wrong, but this is my only chance.
“and I’m Kazuya… your lover.”
Jin wasn’t sure if he heard the man named Kazuya right. “W-what?” he’s dumbfounded. What this Kazuya just said made him dizzier and he just couldn’t take it in that fast.
“You see, we’re a couple. I’m your…”
Jin just had to cut off the other’s sentence, “Wait, wait. We’re together? As in.. together together?” True, he might not be able to remember anything but it sure feels weird. Kazuya’s face was so unfamiliar. Jin started doubting him. What if this guy is trying to trick me? What if he’s just some crazy stalker?
Kazuya sensed that Jin was in deep thoughts and he said, “I know you’re finding it hard to believe, but trust me. I can help you remember everything.” Jin didn’t say anything in return; he just stared at the man beside him for a long time, trying to see if he’s lying or not.
“Now, now don’t stress yourself too much. It’s okay if you don’t remember anything at all, what’s important is that you’re okay now.” Kazuya caressed Jin’s cheek. The latter flinched away. When Kazuya noticed Jin’s reaction, he removed his hand and smiled softly. “I’m sorry. I know I freaked you out but you’ll get used to this-to me.” Kazuya murmured. “Now, you just rest. I’ll just go and get your things then I’ll come back later, alright?” Jin nodded to this and watched the retreating form of his ‘lover’.
I’m sorry, Jin.

“We’ve already searched the whole area, but we saw no sign of your son, Akanishi-kun. I’m afraid we’ll have to stop the rescue procedures now.” The police chief said.
Akanishi Kousuke’s eyes widen, “What do you mean by stop?! You can’t just let that incident go! I’m paying you! You have to find my son!”
“I’m sorry, sir. We understand you but it’s been 3 days already. It’s impossible for him to survive in that amount of time. I believe the case is closed and that there’s nothing we can do anymore.” Argued the chief.
That statement made Kousuke stand up and yell, “You useless people! You’re supposed to be helping us by doing your job right! So what if it’s already been days since my son went missing?! Shouldn’t you continue the rescue operations until you find him?! That’s your job, right?!”
“Sir, I understand your anger, but you do not need to say that. We’ve tried our best, but unfortunately, we cannot do anything about it anymore.”
“NO! I will not let it end this way! If you will not continue then fine! I’ll hire my own people! This is my son we’re talking about here!” Kousuke, obviously at his limit, told the chief. “Now get out of my sight! I don’t need you and your men!”
The police chief, although annoyed, bowed his respect to the Akanishi and went out of the office.
As soon as the chief was out of the office, Kousuke sat down and massaged his temples. Jin was his favorite son and just to think that he might be dead kills him inside. He’s got a good feeling that his son is still alive, and he will do everything to find him.

“Thank you for taking care of me, sensei.” Jin bowed as he thanked the doctor.
Takizawa-sensei smiled at him, “Well, it’s my job, isn’t it? Now just make sure to follow my orders so you won’t have any other complications, alright?” he said. “and be sure to call me if you’re experiencing anything weird.”
Jin nodded and thanked the doctor again then he busied himself with fixing his things. Takizawa took this opportunity to talk to Kazuya. “Are you sure about this?”
Kazuya looked at the other man, “We’ve talked about this, Tackey. I don’t want to explain myself again.” Was his firm statement.
“Well, I know you said that this is a way of helping Jin but to change his whole identity is too much, don’t you think so? And besides, you couldn’t expect me to understand you since I really don’t know how this is helping him in the first place.” Tackey argued.
“Whatever my reason is for me to keep. It’s more complicated that you think. “ Kazuya said.
Tackey sighed, “Fine, since I think I cannot talk you out of this then let me just give you a piece of advice.” A pause the he spoke again, “Whatever it is that you decide to do, just think about it carefully, alright? There is a huge possibility that Jin’s memories will come back and I don’t want you to get into trouble. And I don’t want you to get hurt.” With the mention of the last sentence, Tackey glanced meaningfully at Kazuya. “Yes, I know about your past so you don’t have to deny it.”
“What happened in the past has got nothing to do with this, Tackey. I’m doing this for Jin’s sake.”
“Whatever you say then.” Tackey gave up and decided to ask Kazuya, “Where do you plan to take him?”
Kazuya shot a look at Jin who was currently getting a check up. “I’ve talked to Yuichi and he said he’d let us stay at his place. I need to get Jin away from Tokyo.” He said.
“Well, I am still against this Kazuya but maybe I just have to trust you on this one. I know you’re not stupid to do something reckless so maybe you’ve got a pretty good reason as to why you’ve decided to do this. But don’t forget that I’ve warned you, alright?” Tackey said. The other man smiled, Tackey has always been a good sempai to him. He especially requested for this doctor so that he can explain everything to him. Tackey helped him by putting Jin’s records in confidential state so that when someone looks for him in the hospital, they will get no information.
Later that afternoon, Kazuya and Jin left the hospital and headed home. They settled in Yuichi’s house. Yuichi is one of Kazuya’s closest friends back in college.
“I’m really sorry to trouble you, Yu-kun.” Kazuya bowed but was responded by a light hit on his shoulder. “Oh come on, Kame-chan! You’ve always helped me so I think it’s about time to repay your kindness.” Yuichi said. “By the way, this is the key to the other house. I know we’ve agreed on just letting you stay upstairs but I know you two need privacy. So we’re lending you the house next door.”
Kazuya’s eyes widen at this, “Oh no, I can’t accept that! That’s too much, Yu-kun.”
“Oh It’s nothing really. Besides, no one’s really using the other house so we’d actually be glad if you stay there.” Yuichi explained. “tat-chan agreed already so just take my offer, Kame-chan.” He smiled.
Kazuya was touched by the kindness of his friend. “Well then, if you insist.” He finally agreed.
“By the way, where is Akanishi?” Yuichi asked.
“He’s outside.” And just when Yuichi’s about to go outside and greet Jin, Kazuya called out, “Yu-kun, I have another favor to ask. Can you avoid calling him by his last name? You know the situation.” Yuichi, understand what his friend meant, nodded.
“Hey Jin!” Yuichi called cheerfully. Jin looked at him with confusion in his eyes. “Yuichi? Oh, uhh, nice to meet you.” He extended his hand and Yuichi shook it. “You don’t have to be so formal. It’s not like you at all!” Jin just gave a soft smile and released Yuichi’s hand.
“So anyway, let’s go to your house. You two have travelled long and I think Jin here needs to rest.” And then Yuichi led the way.
They talked for a few more minutes until Yuichi excused himself and went back to his house, leaving Jin and Kazuya alone. The latter was busy unpacking their stuffs while Jin settled himself on the couch. Kazuya noticed how silent Jin had become. “Do you want something? Food, maybe?” he asked.
Jin shook his head, “I’m still full.” Kazuya nod to this and went back to his task at hand. “But Kazuya, I’ve been wondering for a while….”
The addressed man suddenly turned his attention to Jin. “I’ve been wondering about us. I have lots to ask but I seriously don’t know where to start.”
Kazuya readied himself for Jin’s questions.
“How long have we known each other?”
“3 years.” Was Kazuya’s reply. Yes Jin, it has been 3 years.

“I heard Akanishi is dead.” A man in his mid-50’s said, eyeing Maki.
“He is missing, father. “ was the girl’s firm reply.
The man he addressed as father chuckled, “It’s pretty much the same. He’s been gone for a week.” Maki decided not to argue anymore. She’s feeling weak. With her lack of sleep and appetite due to the situation, she doesn’t have the strength to argue with her father. “So what are you going to do about the plan?” he asked.
Maki shot his father a glare, “Jin is missing and yet you’re still thinking of that?! Have you no human heart?!”
Hitoshi-san laughed hysterically, “Don’t act like you really care for that Akanishi, Maki. Stop the pretence already.”
A tear fell from Maki’s eye. “I care for him, father. So please… not now..” she started crying.
“You know I’m not a patient person. Do something about this or you’ll face the consequences.” Hitoshi-san said. And just then, another voice was heard in the room. “What consequences?”
It was Pi.
