[RL with Jack and Ianto] Backdated to the Three's Company Virus

Sep 22, 2009 20:05

Akihiko snuggled up close to one of his lovers, buried in warm blankets and sandwiched between them. The bed at the Hub wasn't quite large enough for three people, but somehow they managed, falling into a pile like puppies and falling asleep ( Read more... )

Ianto was the first of the other to to wake up, which would be strange, but then if Jack actually fell asleep for real, it was a very rare moment, and he would then proceed to sleep like the dead. Ianto breathed deeply, shifting slightly, hoping that he wouldn't wake Jack earlier than he was ready, but feeling refreshed enough not to want to go back to sleep.

He squeezed Akihiko lightly. "'lo," he said quietly, propping himself up on his elbows and smiling at Akihiko sleepily. "I would say good morning, but then, I'm not sure exactly what time it is at the moment. My watch..." he motioned to the small bedside table on the other side of Jack.

Akihiko was also well-aware of Jack's propensity for sleeplessness, and he rolled over as carefully as he could, not to disturb the third part of their threesome.

"Morning," he whispered, snuggling up close. "Does it matter what time it is? If it were time for work, Gwen would have woken us up by now, I think."

"Or perhaps not," Ianto said with a smirk, running a finger through Akihiko's sleep-touseled hair in an attempt to at least try and tame it. "She has a history of walking in on people in the wrong moment, as well you know. Perhaps she's learned from her mistakes. Then again..."

He broke off, chuckling, trying to keep the volume to a minimum to let Jack wake up on his own time. "Maybe she gets some sort of rise out of it. Tosh definitely had some saved CCTV footage that she didn't keep secret enough of certain acts that were otherwise not fit for the eyes of others."

He nodded to Jack, who was, as he always seemed to do, smiling in his sleep. "Phew, he's really out cold. I can't remember the last time I've woken up and actually had a conversation without him at least stirring a little."

Akihiko blushed at the thought of Gwen watching them on the internal monitors, and glanced around automatically, aware of the camera placed discreetly in the ceiling. It was possible. It was even likely that someone, in the history of the Hub, had watched people in this bed.

Probably that someone was Jack, but still.

"Yeah, I guess he really needed the sleep," he murmured, glancing back at Jack with a soft smile. "I'm glad. He doesn't sleep enough."

"Too right you are," Ianto said, cocking his head as he regarded Jack's sleeping face. "D'you ever wonder what he's thinking about, when he sleeps? I mean, he always has a smile on, but there's a lot of things that happened within his lifetime that he could be thinking about at the moment."

"You know, sometimes I wonder if he's thinking about me. About you...the three of us..." He ducked his head against Akihiko's shoulder, more than a little bit embarassed that he had actually admitted that aloud, but comfortable enough with Akihiko to know that his lover would never hold said information against him, and more importantly, would never share it with Jack if he didn't think it was absolutely necessary.

Akihiko blushed, then lazily let his fingers drift over Jack's chest and down over his taut stomach, under the covers. He didn't want to disturb his sleep, but the man was just too tempting.

"I like to think the same thing," he admitted sheepishly, feeling a lot less dorky about it having heard that he and Ianto shared the same fantasy.

Better than thinking that Jack was thinking about someone else. And it was true that Jack had had a lot of really bad stuff happen to him, to the point where it seemed the only really good stuff had something to do with sex.

Ianto smiled at Akihiko's reply, but kept his face pressed against Akihiko's shoulder. "I don't know whether you're saying that to humor me or not, but I'm glad nonethless ( ... )

Akihiko's hands were definitely rougher than Ianto's, given the scar tissue on his palms. He glanced back at Ianto, eyebrows rising. "I'm not humouring you," he insisted softly, then felt Jack beginning to stir.

He turned back and watched his lover open his eyes, and smiled warmly, anticipating a morning kiss.

Then the smile faltered slightly at the look on Jack's face. Jack was smiling, but he looked a bit confused, and he wasn't sure what was going through his head.

"Morning," he said, shifting in closer and tilting his head to kiss him.

((OMG, I'm finally on the mend and have some brain for RP. I also got your message, and Shinji-mun and I are totally excited about doing something with you! I hope we can make something happen.

AC is on, btw!))

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Jack said, quickly reaching up to put a hand on Akihiko's chest. "Not that I don't appreciate the sentiment--far be it from me to turn down anyone in my bed--but what...?"

He broke off, spotting Ianto's confused face over Akihiko's shoulder. "Ianto?" He asked, relieved. If anyone could explain the situation to him, then it would be Ianto.

"Jack?" Ianto asked cautiously, putting a comforting hand on Akihiko's lower back. He could feel the tension in the younger man that had been caused when Jack had pushed him away.

((Yay, I'm excited. Seriously, I was reading it in the copain at the computers surrounded by all these Japanese students, and probably looked a bit silly, grinning at my computer screen, but... With my Blackberry, now I can access internet all hours of the day. 8D

Ah, thanks! I'll go and do it at lunch time at the real computer where it's easier to navigate between pages and cut and paste.))

Akihiko might have thought Jack was joking... only it was a pretty weird joke. He sat back a little, frowning and trying not to give in to a very strong feeling of rejection. Why was Jack acting like he didn't belong here? He wasn't nearly so surprised about Ianto, after all.

True, Jack and Ianto had been together before Akihiko came into the picture, but it wasn't like this was new.

The comforting hand on his back helped, but only a little. "Um, what's wrong, Jack?" he asked awkwardly, trying not to sound as hurt as he felt.

"What are you doing here, Akihiko?" Jack asked, his voice playful, but with an undertone of complete seriousness.

"Jack!" Ianto said, sitting up in alarm. "What do you mean? It's Akihiko. What's wrong with you?"

"My thoughts exactly. Why is Akihiko in my bed with us...?" He paused, scoping out the situation, before adding, "naked, might I add?"

Akihiko's cheeks were flaming, but slowly the blood drained from his cheeks at the realization that Jack really was being serious.

"I...I don't understand," he said awkwardly. "I mean, wasn't my answer before good enough? I...I want to be with you both."

He swallowed, looked around at Ianto for help. He knew that things had been a bit strange at the beginning, as they all felt each other out. Was Jack still expecting Akihiko to have second thoughts?

"I still want to be with you both. That's not going to change!"

"Jack," Ianto said, his tone warning. "What are you playing at?"

"Ianto," Jack countered, propping himself up, not really caring in the least about the fact that he was naked, but more concerned about the fact that the three of them were naked in bed together. Jack often slept naked, so that wasn't anything new, but the fact that Ianto was naked meant they'd been up to something the previous night, but he couldn't remember anything. "What are you playing at? Since when do we sleep naked with Akihiko ( ... )

Akihiko stared for a few moments, his insides swirling and clenching at Jack's words. His cheeks warmed at the appraising look - even after months, he still felt warm and fluttery at that admiring look in Jack's eyes.

But it didn't come accompanied with that warm, accepting affection he had come to expect.

Then it clicked. Jack wasn't trying some weird, cruel means to push him away. He couldn't remember, and there was only one reason that could be.

"It's got to be a virus," he said. "It's got to be. Ianto and I remember!"

Ianto's eyes widened. "That would make sense," he said, a bit awestruck with the idea that the community had a power great enough to be able to erase someone's memories. And more than a little frightened by the whole idea.

"But I don't remember any of this," Jack said indignantly. "And as far as I know, I remember everything up until yesterday night. And that definitely didn't involve going to bed with either of you." He looked around, as if he could find something that might familiarize him with the situation, help him remember what he had supposedly lost. "We did go Weevil catching last night, right?"

"Well, yes," Ianto confirmed. "After that we came back here. You wanted to make sure that we got the right one. And then..." He looked to Akihiko, making sure that he was remembering correctly himself.

Having experienced weirder stuff in the year he'd been in the community, Akihiko wasn't surprised at all that the community had the ability to change someone's memories this much. After all, hadn't Mitsuru thought she and Akihiko were Junpei's parents, and they were American pioneers, once?

This was nothing.

When Ianto paused, he nodded and picked up the narrative. "Right, and we, er," he reddened again. "We decided to hit the showers because we'd gotten all muddy and stuff in the sewers, and then one thing led to another, and, well..."

He shrugged, gesturing about themselves. "But this isn't exactly unusual, Jack."
