(144) Long Time No Post
It's been nearly two weeks since I last wrote something here -- a pretty long time, I know. It's just that I lost (okay, not literally, my mom had it) my laptop for a week or so and couldn't post during that time. And then afterward I just lost the momentum. LJ-ing, I figure, is something that requires continuous attention, or else it just might dwindle away.
Update on books: I finished Pride and Prejudice (Austen has word skills that no author of current times can ever hope to reach) and plan on starting either Emma or Sense and Sensibility. We'll see which one is more interesting. And I'm slightly addicted to P&P fanfiction, either Mary-centric or Modern Universe, though sadly there isn't very much available and most of it is very bad.
Update on manga: I PIMP MONSTER TO YOU. It is, quite frankly, amazing. If you like medicine, if you like mystery, if you like complicated-as-hell plots, then this is for you. The art is great, the pacing good, the "readability" frankly astounding -- I flew through the 18 volumes in four days -- what more can you want? (If it's an added incentive, the main character's rather adorable.)
Update on Cytosis and me: We spent a wonderful day together yesterday. He had no classes and neither did I, and it was great to just be with him. Austin Powers is now on the list, even though he'll probably have to explain to me 75% of the jokes in there. Ah, my three Bond movies are just not enough.
Update on Movies: Hellboy2: The Golden Army. I want to watch. Badly. As well as The Dark Knight, even though it's likely that the Joker will creep me out. A girl just cannot get enough of Christian Bale -- not when he's that tall, dark, and handsome. :D (Btw, I cannot believe that's Heath Ledger. Talk about a role-reversal! Will he get a posthumous Oscar nod?)
