Thoughts and Energy out to 日本 and all other affected areas.
I was online when shit started going down. Thinking about it now, I guess all the lesser earthquake activity that happened earlier in the week may have been leading up to this; I feel like I've read somewhere or learned before that sometimes smaller seismic activity can precede larger, more destructive activity. I guess that could be the case here. I seriously hope for the sake of Japan, its people, and everyone else in other countries affected by tsunamis and other disasters that this ends soon.
As I'm writing this another huge earthquake just struck the Niigata and Nagano areas. I'm so.....WTF'ed by this, I just don't even. I saw my Japanese twitter friends start to post "地震 ! !" like 13 hours ago but I never thought it would be this tragic. Please, God, The Universe, The Flying Spaghetti Monster, Lady Gaga, whatever you are if you're there, end this soon. In all seriousness I wish Japan loving healing thoughts and light-filled energy.
I'm happy to hear that Daichan and other members of DA Family are safe and accounted for, and just as much so my friends who are in Japan. We still have yet to hear from some people though, and as time goes on I'm getting more worried. of course you know, Hiro could be passed out somewhere and have no idea that anything's happened.....then wake up to find that tragically, his favorite gay bar was destroyed.../*shot*
It does amaze me though how, despite the crisis and severity of the situation, many countries are pulling together and uniting to help each other out. It's just a beautiful thing to watch (even though I wish more of the USA's press conference was actually dedicated to this crisis).
