sing with me?

It’s such a brilliant (I sound British) feeling to be singing with someone. It really creates a sense of harmony. Music is so powerful!

Summer has been accompanied by a very incommunicable feeling. I don’t know whether it’s loneliness or a lack of structure. What I do know is that I want to stay as busy as possible. Volunteering at the Accounting office has been fun, yet it can kind of be lonely in an office with all adults. The workshops on Monday are enjoyable, and it’s given me the chance to meet some different people. Two more weeks and then engineering camp at ASU! I’m excited because I’ll get to experience dorm-life for a week (in the same building as my sister/ Sonia’s doing it too) and it will be yet another opportunity to meet more people.

I’ve been reading different books, and I just finished reading The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It was a very thought-provoking book, despite the usage of the word “contempt” one too many times. The philosophies on altruism and egotism were peculiar. Does anyone have book suggestions (Angels and Demons is on my list)? I started reading Ivanhoe today...we’ll see if I finish it.

Ahh it feels so good to update this bad boy after an extensive period of time. It’s like taking a big breath and letting it out. So anyways, today I went hardcore ROLLER BLADING with Alyssha around the park. Even though I hate to admit it, I did fall a couple of times…well you would too if you hadn’t roller bladed in 849784 years! The result of this being that my tailbone is incredibly sore. Arizona is way too hot. Then we had an LIT workshop on applications/interview etiquette which was umm intriguing! Afterwards, I came home and practiced, followed by my violin lesson. I think it went really well, and instilled confidence in me.

What the world needs now

Is love, sweet love.

That’s the only thing

That there’s just too little of.

I really miss seeing everyone, so if you want to do something just say so! After all, summer is about hanging out with friends! But we mustn’t forget the learning part of it. I think I’m going to go write a poem now :). edit: i got to see SARAH on Sunday and that was the highlight of my day!:)
