REASON #516 WHY THE U.S. GOV'T CAN KISS MY A$$

Mar 09, 2008 01:47

So, early last week I mailed in my passport and new photos and all the requisite paperwork to the National Passport Agency to get my passport renewed since it was expiring at the end of May. I also included a check for $67 because the form states VERY IMPLICITLY that you must send in this processing fee. Okay, sure, no problem.

Today, I get an envelope in the mail from the Passport service. At first I'm all excited and thinking "Awesome! That was fast!" Then I open up the envelope and it's my old passport, all the paperwork I filled out, and my check, along with a note explaining that they were being sent back to me because my "payment was insufficient." It goes on to state that the fee is now $75 for a passport renewal. Ok, that's great and all, but if that's the case then how about you UPDATE YOUR FUCKING FORMS!!!!!! I can't believe I'm the only person that has had this happen to them. So, now I have to pay another $4-5 to mail this stuff back to them along with a new check for $75. Idiots and assholes! *grumble, grumble*
