And it's because of something you'd never guess.

It's an advertisement. From TV. For clothes!

You're back!! :D I saw you comment on something else and was all YAY! :D

I have nooooo clue about UK TV. I have BBC Entertainment and BBC Lifestyle and BBC... um... Culture? Something? BBC E is good for watching QI and BBC L sometimes has MasterChef and such, but, eh, I don't tend to stick around for the adverts much. XD

I will say, though, that British series tend to have more natural looking women than American series, so there is that! :) Now for fashion to catch up... ;)

It took a while, but yeah, I am back ;) .

And here BBC doesn't really have adverts I think? hmmm, at least not during films, lol.

But yeah, I hear you on the casting. I could rant for hours about American TV show casting, lmao. ;)

:D

Don't they have adverts in between shows/films though? IDK. It's true they don't do during, at least not on BBC E. And that's nice. I prefer those kinds of channels. Nothing more frustrating than trying to watch something and then half of it is basically advertisement breaks. Come on. Ugh.

well, i think they would have more adverts abroad as they are broadcasting for profit then, whereas the British TV license payers expect that their fees already pay for the programmes (if that makes any sense).

Yeah, that makes sense. But I only get those channels as part of a big expensive cable package (kids love Disney Jr, ok? >_>) so I should assume it's paid for. ;) But then, some Danish channels are only in there plus they barely have any content in between the ads, uuugh.

Well, we have our own free danish channels with no commercials either. But they don't have QI ;)
