In Denmark we exchange gifts on the night of the 24th. Kupo is excited about the prospect of Santa coming by tonight, but then again, he was also excited about going to the playground with his grandfather and uncle, and the fact that his great grandmother will be here tonight and that he was allowed to help his grandmother fix chairs with a hammer... so I guess he's just plain excitable. ;)
I think we brought far more presents than we're taking back. XD Maz kinda went nuts this year. Everyone we're buying for is getting at least two things. We brought six presents for Kupo that I suppose we are taking back with us. >_> Although in our defence, they weren't all from us. They were also from his other grandparents and another great grandparent. (And may I say, my father is such a sadist - the present from him is humongous and we had to bring it here and back!! He suggested we could save it until after Christmas, but Kupo's not going to understand that and it'd be no fun.)
At least we're getting a rid homee, so we won't have to do the whole thing with busses and a train again.
Been feeling rather nauseous lately. It sucks. Yesterday, I had to go nap twice after we got here because I started feeling so poorly. Today I also napped all morning away. It's often worse after I take my pills, so I suppose they're the culprits. Ugh. It makes sense, really, because I'm usually worse in the mornings and 8AM is the only time I have to take all three kinds at once.
Acid reflux is also making a strong comeback. Had one glass of apple juice just now because I felt fine and I can already feel my throat starting to burn. Guess apple juice is a no go. -_-
Health issues and the fact that I have yet to brush my hair, let alone shower, today aside, I'm kinda looking forward to tonight. It'll be cosy. We'll be Kupo, Maz, me, Maz's parents, his grandmother, two of his uncles and their partners, his pregnant cousin (who was due December 23rd XD) and her boyfriend and brother. Thirteen at a table, tsk tsk. But Maz's dad maintains it doesn't count as thirteen when they have "two halves" as well. XD
I suppose. And maybe their cat will stay indoors, hoping for scraps, adding another being to the table for the superstitious. ;) Right now she's sleeping on our bed, which, apparently, she's never interested in doing when we aren't here. Funny, I usually wake up from my nap to find her on the bed with me. They claim I'm what attract her. Possibly. I am a cat lady in the making, after all. Also, I find cuddly kitties in my bed rather nice. Especially when I don't feel well. Okay, she's not really a cuddly kitty, more like a big, red, rather prickly furball. But she and I get along just fine; she's never really scratched me and always accepts my petting, and Kupo is under strict orders not to pet her on his own. Considering that she has scratched him, he tends to follow those orders and approach her with caution. It's probably good that he learns that not every animal is as friendly as ours anyway (the scratches were never bad, she just made a statement.) I mean, he can use ours as pillows and they'll hardly even bother to move. Imagine him being as forward with a hostile animal. :S
This was a random post. I'm tired. Guess I'll see if I can find a hairbrush.
