Money, money, money...

I have a ton of inconsequential updates, really, but since I'm currently on Maz's computer, I'll spare you most of them.

I'm still not much on my computer. Tomorrow I'm 12 weeks in, so hopefully that means I'll feel better soon so I can get some effing work done.

We're going downtown to spend money we really don't have. Seriously! XD My mom actually bored 1500DKK (~300USD) from us cuz her hubby didn't get his full pay for some reason and then the payment office shut down for a holiday for two weeks. O.o So in two weeks' time we'll get it back. It's cool tho. I just borrowed that from our budgeting account since it's for such a limited duration. She's the only family member I'll lend money to though. My dad is really bad at paying back on time and lol at my brother paying back at all. Plus, my brother is the kind who will beg you for $20 for food/cigarettes/whatever and then in the next breath tell you about this cool, extravagant, entirely unnecessary purchase he just made. Idiot. He even gets more money for himself than we do for all of us.

Anyhoo, it's not the loan that's rendering us broke. It's 1) that Maz has made plane/hotel reservations in England, and paid for them, for himself and a friend of his and we have yet to get the friend's part back and 2) I kinda accidentally bought a PSP. :P

Yes, talk about extravagant and unnecessary purchases. XD Excited about it shipping today.

Well, we're not borrowing money for food. We have yet to not eat. Also, Maz calls it my consolation prize for not going to England with him. ♥ I do suppose it's cheaper. It costs about the same as the plane tickets on their own. :) Oh, and we have some savings in place for the whole England thing which is really nice. Just gotta call the bank to get my account reimbursed from the savings account since Maz is using my visa to pay for stuff...

But OTHER than that, we're going downtown today to spend money because... gotta do something or Kupo will drive us mad. He's home for the next five weeks and he gets so bored. In any case, he's a part of this toy store club thingie where every time you buy for about $5 worth, you get a sticker worth $0.20 and you put them in these little books until you have about $10 worth (50 stickers) and then you can go get either the money or toys for that amount. Yeah, Kupo's got two whole books filled, so... (hey, I signed him up for it when he was a teeny tiny baby and we had NOTHING for him, don't judge! Also, don't do the math, please >_>) So, in any case, we promised him he could go get toys. Although initially he said he rather wanted pizza. But, you know, if he insists on pizza instead, we'll just get the $10 from one of the books and let him buy his own damn pizza like he wants. I wouldn't mind.

We're also currently on a mission. A mission to create SPACE, since we're going to soon be one more person in this tiny place. That's meant buying a ton of new, better plastic containers and the like (and we need more) for the kitchen so it's easier to keep everything sorted, buying more general storage furniture (like, we need to get something to store our dvds and blu-rays in, the things are all over the place) and it's also meant sorting through all our clothes that have accumulated for the past -- I kid you not -- fifteen years or so. And, yeah, we've only lived together for about seven years, but we each brought junk -- including clothes we'd never fit into again. Fortunately we don't buy a lot of clothes, but personally, I went down so hard on what I had that only about one fifth is left. It won't actually change what I have to wear a whole lot, and suddenly Maz realises what I means when I say I don't have much. XD I don't know about Maz's, and we didn't touch Kupo's yet. We might be able to reuse a lot of that, after all. I also need to go through a bunch of shoes people gave me that I never wore but ugh, shoes. I don't get shoes. I like shoes I can wear for years and years. Like my brown sandals that I had even before I knew Maz. Durable and comfortable, now that I like. Especially considering that they were like $20 when I bought them. Go cheap, durable and comfortable shoes! I'm side-eyeing a pair of leather boots I could never get my fat calves in and a pair of golden sandals that are just... golden so hard right from where I'm sitting right now.

We also need to get that junior bed for Kupo soonish. And I really wanted what's referred to in Danish as a 'Moses basket' (hanging thing?) for the baby, but the ones I've managed to find online (just browsing, not making baby purchases for another couple of months) are really expensive, so I may have to downgrade that to a simple cradle. I just liked the idea of it moving in every direction much better. :/ Oh, and don't get me started on getting one used. I had a peek and ran away screaming. No. Also, they generally require you to pick it up which is SO EASY without a damn car. At least there is a ton of stuff we already do have this time. And my mom's said they'll pay for the junior bed -- albeit not until December, so we'd have to wait with getting it or wait with getting reimbursed.

Anyhoo, better get ready. Man, I blabber. And yes, I did spare you most of the inconsequential updates, believe it or not.
