too tired to post intelligently
game was fun
made signs while sitting in the bleachers. Then found out that FOX doesn't show shots of the crowd like WGN does. :'(
saw fights. saw people get kicked out. got burned--apparently I need to learn how to apply sunscreen to my forearms better.
uh. took Ma out for dinner. Couldn't go to Harry Caray's in Wrigleyville so we whipped out the gps and located the one down town--was much more expensive, but the food and service were so worth it.
Watched a bit of the Hawks game while waiting, left just before that last goal was scored. The office buildings are all decked out in Hawks support. Some of them are super cool.
Didn't get home until 13 hours after we left. Got call on road asking if I wanted to go shooting.
Well, I'd told TJ that I liked archery and so him and his dad were supposed to invite me to come shot targets next time they went out--this was said like last fall--so they went at 8 this morning. I was up, and at their house when I was supposed to be to get to go.
Then left from there straight to un-birthday party--which my ma and I had to leave early because of GK's dance recital.
Which, was three hours long! She wasn't even on stage until the second half and people were coming in and out all the time because the kids would come sit with their parents when they weren't up on stage, so in theory we could have stayed to talk with the out of town family for much longer.
Some of the adorable little girls were so 'bad' at what they were supposed to be doing that it just made the whole thing ten times cuter. It was a litte sadder when some of the older groups were out of sync or just plain forgot how the dance went--GK's group did good. Their tap number was awesome, and the ballet was pretty good too.
Remind me to tell you about the little mermaid group and their chain sommersaults. So cute.
Ate out again tonight--this time Sis paid, since she couldn't take Ma out last night on her actual birthday.
New TV is stuck in an odd way. Half way through a show the volume started to go down like someone was pushing the button. But I wasn't laying on the remote, none of the remotes are stuck in a volume down position. I cannot get the tv to respond to any button on the remote. Pushing buttons on the tv all I can do is change the channel none of the other buttons are responding. The power one isn't turning it off. Aside from crawling behind the giant unit and unplugging it I'm not sure what to try. I wonder if it'll go off at 2AM like it's programmed to...oh shoot that doesn't apply to sat and sun. Crap, I'm going to have to figure out what is sending a signal to the tv.
