AI7 Top 16 Recap: Boys
Dun dun dun, it's me again. This time, I watched some clips on rickey before watching it on tv, and I think it helped.

Luke: OMG SOMEONE DID WHAM!!! WIN!!! Unfortunately it was my least favourite performer in the competition. Sigh. I love that song so much though. I don't know. I just can't get into this guy. He's not the worst singer Idol has ever seen by a long shot but he's just....not interesting. Poor dude. He should get a job as Orlando's stunt double though.
David A: I think we might as well call it now because obviously this kid is Idol's wet dream. Yes he can sing extremely well, and he's adorable but I'm starting to get kind of bored with him as well. I want to see him do something exciting, or I don't know....fall flat on his face just once. I don't want him to always be consistantly good (that only works if you're the AMAZING Melinda Doolittle and you can do no wrong). I like him. I do. It's just...I don't know. He's becoming a bit like Michael to me. Maybe he'll loosen up once he's in the Top 12.
Danny: I can't help it, I freaking LOVE this kid. I actually think he's quite a good singer but he hasn't really shown that in the top 24 which is disappointing. I don't know what happened. Maybe he's got too caught up in the performance aspect of things. I love this song so much and I don't think he was terrible with it. Out of the 3 performances, that was probably my favourite for comic value alone! I have a bad feeling that he's not going to make it to Top 12 but I really hope he does. He's far more interesting then Luke or Chikezie.
David H: OMG CHEESEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I cannot take it. I know that's pretty much what Idol is but this guy is SO over the top that it's really starting to drive me. Especially because I think that he's one of the better singers in the competition but dear LORD. The warbling jaw and fluttery eyelashes? VOMIT. He just needs to lay off the cheese and sing. I think he'd have a real chance then. Apparently at the end of his performance Simon made a comment to the effect of "I'd like to see you try to strip to that" but I didn't hear it. There's speculation.
Michael: OMG THE BREAKFAST CLUBBBBBBBBBBBBB. I love 80s movies. Anyway, predictable as per usual. Again, I hope he breaks out of this rut he seems to have got himself into. He's a great singer but you have to be more than that. I know he's going to make to the top 12 as well so i'm not worried about that. I just hope that he lets go and does something interesting to keep people wanting him there.
David C: I'm not going to lie. This scared me a little. I will give him credit for doing something different and interesting though. I thought it was pretty good. I'm usually pretty entertained by this guy. I hope that he makes it through as well.
Jason: I wish that they would compile a big list of songs that Idol contestants aren't allowed to touch, and I wish for this song to be on there. It's not a song that I feel sound be sung on a glorified karaoke show. It just makes my heart weep. He didn't do a terrible job of it and he didn't do a great job of it. I don't know. I like this guy a lot, I just wish he had picked something else.
Chikezie: I am so over this guy. A lot. I don't think he's that great of a singer and I find him rather cocky (and in a fun fabulous Danny kind of way either). I hope that he gets the boot on Thursday because I don't want to have to sit through his crappy performances anymore.
David A, Jason, Michael and my guess is David C are locks for spots in the top 12. I'm also going to assume that David H is as well (though I wouldn't mind dropping a David 'cause it's too confusing!) My hope is that Danny would get the other spot but I have a bad feeling he'll be going home with either Luke or Chikezie. Sigh. Stupid Idol.
As per usual, not looking forward to the girls tonight. Especially after the stinkfest that was last week.

Luke: He's just not good performing on AI7. *shrug* He is lovely in his old acapella performances, and honestly, I would vote just for that. And yes, he gets points for doing Wham!.
Baby David: I have almost no doubt he's gonna win this thing. Unless on the finals, all the fans of the other 11 contestants come together and vote for the other dude. Believe it or not, David has always been like that lol. I wonder if he ever gets rude or angry. O___O
Danny: Yeah, something like that. Auditions proved that he can sing, but I haven't seen it, so sorry Danny. It's a tough year. I got that gut feeling too. :/
David H: Awww, but the cheese is tasty! <3 He's such an interesting character, I want to strip him down! And regarding Simon, he was talking about David stripping the song, and not about his stripper past. Coincidental? ;)
Ditto to the rest, though I do like the Hallelujah song choice. Challenging and different.
Having three Davids is fun! I would do anything to have a chance to laugh at Ryan. XDD
