AI7 Top 20 Boys Recap

Feb 28, 2008 00:07

The 70s is fun! \o/ And the boys were great! But damn, they were pissy today to Simon.

I hope that I can actually remember stuff, considering that the show ended around 1h ago, and then I watched the Miami Swimwear Show. :p

Michael Johns: Not as good as last week definitely. Not to say that he wasn't good, but I don't think the song brings out his ( Read more... )

yay I look forward to your recaps so I have someone to discuss the show indepth with! LOL

I'm becoming very disappointed with Michael :[ I liked him so much but it just seems like everything he sings is starting to sound the same. Last night did not show off any of his talent.

I was disappointed with Jason too because I liked him a lot last week. As much as I love a boy with a guitar, he does need to put it aside and just sing for us.

Oh dear lord Luke. I could not stop laughing during that sound. I continue to be distracted by his resembelance to Orlando! What a bad song choice for a not great singer.

I find Robbie forgettable. He's not bad just not particularily interesting.

Danny :[ Oh how I love you. I thought he sang well, but I see what they mean about over thinking though I like to think he was missing his boy Colton and thinking about him I hope he sticks around. He makes me smile and squee.

I thought David H was SO cheesy though he sang well. He has a good voice but I don't care for the cheese level of him. LOL a gay stripping gymnast!

Jason Y was ick! I just do not care for him at all and the rumour I heard about him this weekend does not help matters.

OT: Can you really pick up an instrument that easy? I have a guitar at home, but I can't really self-learn. :/ And it's not like I am music illiterate. I was in Chinese Orchestra during secondary school. *stares at guitar bag full of dust*
My best friend is like that. She can watch someone play an instrument and pick it up 5 minutes later and start playing. She taught herself guitar, bass, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and a bit of piano. It's pretty incredible. Some people just have that musical ability. I can do that with a song. Listen to it once and then go pick it out on the piano, but I've never taught myself an instrument.

Chikezie is still not my favourite but he seems like a nice guy and he's an okay singer. Again, I'm kind of middle of the road about him. Neither one way or the other.

I like David Cook more and more every week! Especially after he admitted to being a word geek. He's adorable and I actually really his singing. I didn't think I would from his audition.

Oh David A, sigh. I love this kid a whole hell of a lot and I think he's an amazing singer, especially for his age. I think he sang well last night however I did NOT like what he did with the song at all. Imagine is one of those songs that just needs to be sung. He did okay at some parts but then the big glory notes really turned me off. That's not what that song is about at all and if you want to show your voice off like that, then I think you should choose a different song. Yes I know they harp about making it your own, but there are just some songs, in my opinion, that you don't screw with and that happens to be one of them. I was nervous last year when Blake did it because I really don't care for anyone but Lennon singing it, but he did well because he kept it toned down. I still love David, and I still think he's the best singer there but I didn't like that performance.

I wish instead of 80s night week they'd do songs that are popular now. I'd like to hear them doing more current stuff. I'm not sure I like having the themes in the top 24.

I saw the spoiler list for the girls songs tonight and I'm not looking forward to it at all!

Aww, thank you. :3 I realized I like doing recaps, because they made me think through the performances. So I am glad you enjoyed it too!

Michael: I know... He needs to stop doing up-tempo rock-ish songs. :/ Maybe try some ballads or something, without the red flaming background.

Jason: Yeah... He needs to switch it around too. Show some versatility, which I am sure he can, because he has a beautiful voice.

Luke: His face is the only reason I bear with him. I wish I can squish off his head and fit it on a better singer. Paula should teach me a way to do that.

Robbie: Maybe it's coz we already have David Cook, who is a true rocker and simply amazing. And speaking of David Cook, I think the only reason why I don't adore him is his voice sounding too much like Daughtry.

Danny: I like him, but he haven't impressed me yet. *shrug* It's hard to support a person who you think can do better, but just isn't choosing the right songs!

David H: *flips* Cheesy is good! XDD The stripper thing totally worked. I hope he stays longer.

Jason Y: What rumor?

Chikezie: I don't like him because he gets too smart-ass. He think he is really funny. *rolls eyes* He performed well though, and I would give him credit for that.

Baby David: I think he really risked it this week choosing Imagine. It turned a lot of people off, I know, but a lot thought it was amazing too. I like it because he was vocally marvelous. I wouldn't say that his style was great, but well, if he chooses to do it that way, he has to bear people's criticism. I don't really think he understands the meaning of that song actually. Maybe because he is just too young?

Oh gosh I know! I want to hear them singing songs that are of their age. -_- You ask them to do songs thirty years older than them, how do you expect them to understand what it is talking about? *faint*

Where's the list?

LOL I KNOW! I mean the budget for the show can't be that cheap that the dude can't have a different background!!!

Apparently when Jason Y was 18 he got a 14 year old pregnant, which is where his son came from. It was in the batch of rumours with David H being a stripper, Robbie dating Britney, Kristy Lee Cook having some nekkid internet pics. I'm not 100% sure I believe it or not because you never know but still, creepy and gross.

I don't have a link to the songs. Someone just posted them in their journal. They got them from that Ricky guy. I'll post them down below with a spoiler warning!

Ooh yeah, that child. I read that he got him when he was young, but I didn't know the girl was THAT young.

Rickey is reliable haha. And yeah, nothing much interesting except for Me And MR. Jones. Nice change to the title. Asia'h better not kill herself with Celine.
