Time Flies
Wow, I've been too busy to be on here for a while. Even too busy to reply back to my "wormy" post. (Thanks for responding, btw, cigamerisedi.)
Well, here's the update:
I was expecting 2 guests for Thanksgiving dinner, but got blown off. So, I have WAY too much extra food around here. I think we'll be eating turkey until Christmas. I am not pleased.
For the first time ever, daemein and I went out and faced Black Friday. All in all, I don't see what all the fuss is about. The sales weren't that good. We had a lot of fun, and looked at a lot of stuff, but didn't get much shopping done.
I ran 2 craft tables at my church's advent festival yesterday. That went pretty well. Turns out I overestimated many people's crafting abilities and misunderstood the use of bias tape in sewing myself. Thank goodness for Jan who straightened me out. I ended up breaking about even on craft supplies. Ok, I am $7 in the hole, but if I had returned that last stem of orchids, I could have broken even, but I didn't want to give them back. :)
It's snowed a fair amount this weekend; probably something like 4-6 inches total. We had to go shovel the walks yesterday afternoon.
I potentially have jury duty this week. Bleh. I need to call to find out later this week if I need to haul my behind down to the courthouse.
My family is coming here for Christmas this year. That means I won't be home to CA for Christmas. Sorry guys. I'm pretty overwhelmed overall. There is going to be a ton of extra work and expense, and nobody seems very interested in sharing the burden, so in ways it's pretty much going to suck. Everybody has complaints, and requests/orders and nobody seems inclined to help. If that is truly how it is, I'm never hosting Christmas again. :P
