Genre: crime drama au

Disclaimer: I don't own KAT-TUN, any of its members, any other JE people.  I write this for fun and for other fans of these fine folks.  But don't steal my plots, mmkay?  I put a great deal of time into them except for when I'm randomly spastically spitting words onto a page.  But I value those too...

Summary:  Two criminals with vastly different styles meet by chance one day.  They immediately clash but is that all they'll ever be?  How much is fate and how much choice?  And how will their meeting change the world around them?

Author's Note: Here you go.  Enjoy.  It's not quite 1000 words (yeah, I know, short...) but it's very eventful plot-wise.

BANNER BY DESHISORABA!! THE MOST AWESOME BANNER EVER AND I WILL FIGHT ANYONE WHO DISAGREES!

Warning: This gets graphic often occasionally, containing at the very least foul language, character death, nefarious crimes, rape, etc etc.

Chapter 113 ~The Difference a Day Makes~

It took the support of both Kitayama and Shuta to get Taipi to the sleeping mat.  Someone had really done a number on him.  His left eye was swollen shut and pretty much every visible inch of him was covered in bruises and scrapes.

Everyone was trying to follow them into the tiny office but Koki started bellowing at them to stop crowding the area so they could get a proper look at him and also find out what happened.

There were moments like that when Kame thought rescuing Koki was the second-smartest thing he’d ever done. It was only opening his heart to Jin that outpaced it.  Sometimes.

Once Taipi was sitting on the mat with a glass of water Koki had the sense, he noticeably calmed.  Jin took charge of tending the wounds, an apology for all of the arguing is what he mumbled when he snatched the first aid kit out of Koki’s hands.  He gently cleaned the scrapes and also checked for broken bones while Kame tried to get the story of what happened.

It was slow going since Taipi’s voice was hoarse but by then end, Kame felt almost like he couldn’t breathe.  He should have been paying better attention!  They knew somewhere out there his father was plotting against them.

On Sunday, Taipi had gotten photo proof of the ghost - probably a picture of Girl - and he left immediately to get it developed.  He took all of his film, not just the pictures from the ghost hunt, and he waited at the photo shop for them so he wouldn’t have to make the trip on foot again.

As he was leaving the shop he felt sudden hands grabbing him, pressing something against his face and he passed out.  When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a dark, dank room… and he wasn’t alone.  Papa K was there along with four of his men.

“I t-t-thought they were gonna kill me,” Taipi said, “But he didn’t care about me one bit.  He just wanted the pictures.  I… I don’t know… why… And he had his men beat me and they just left me in that cold dark room… but eventually, Papa K came back and said he had a m-message… especially for you…  If I delivered it, he would let me g-go…”

Another message from his father... would it be worse than when he burned down The Club?  Thank goodness he hadn’t just killed Taipi!  They would never know what happened; he’d just vanish.  “What message?”

“He says… we can have… six months.  He won’t stop his planning… but… he won’t touch us for six months.  He was… he saw something in those pictures that made him happy.  I don’t know… I don’t know…” and now Taipi was crying, “He got those picture because of me!  And his men put me in a car and dumped me on the side of the road and for all I know they followed me here… and… and… please, I’m so sorry! Minna, I’m sorry!  Please forgive me…”

Kame was suddenly mad.  If they had known Taipi was missing since yesterday, they would have been out looking for him!  But Yamashita said he saw him creeping around with his camera so Kame believed he was at the church.

With a growl, he pushed himself to his feet and out of the room.  As fast as his feet could carry him, he ran through the church calling Yamashita’s name and when he finally found him, he didn’t even give the man a chance to speak.  He slugged him.  Hard.

“WHAT THE HELL?” Yamashita screeched, pushing himself up off of the floor where he’d fallen.  “What was that for?  I swear, after all the things I’ve already lost because of Kizuna and now you’re hitting me, too?  Where do you get off-”

“YOU SAID YOU SAW HIM!” was Kame’s enraged reply.  “Taipi hasn’t been here all since yesterday but you said you saw him today!”

“So then I saw him yesterday. What’s the big deal?  Today, yesterday… it’s all the same…”

Yamashita’s laid-back attitude just further enfuriated Kame.  “Get out.”

The man’s face went white.  “If you kick me out, I won’t have any choice.  I’ll have to go to Papa K and tell him everything he wants to know.  It’s the only way he won’t kill me!”

“I.  Don’t.  Care,” Kame spat back at him.  “Tell him whatever the fuck you want but get the hell out of here.”

By this time, Jin had caught up with them.  “Kazuya, he has to stay.  You’re the one who said that, remember?  We can’t kick him out.  Papa K is pissed that he helped us with Tatsuya’s rescue so he’ll kill him no matter what information he gives him.  I may hate the man but…”

Kame interrupted Jin with, “Then get him out of my sight and keep him out of my sight.  I swear to god, if I see him again, I’ll kill him myself.”  He didn’t wait for a reply but instead turned and walked out of the room.

+++As Kame strode out of the sanctuary, everyone else in the room was frozen in stunned silence.  Jin wanted to follow after him, to try to calm him down, but unfortunately he had to deal with Yamashita.  “Maybe we should move you up to the attic for a while…”

The man didn’t seem happy at the thought of that but frankly, Jin didn’t give a damn.

Chapter 114 ~Part One - Jiro's Boy~

A/N: Well, there you go.  What could Papa K possibly have seen in those photos that would make him happy and make him decided to give Kizuna a reprieve?  Is he telling the truth about the six months or is he trying to catch them off-guard?  Will Kame decide to throw Yamashita out anyway?  Did Papa K's men follow Taipi back to the church?  How did they know when and where to grab Taipi?

Hopefully, you won't have to wait long for answers to these questions.
