Snowflake Challenge, Day 8
Day 8
In your own space, make a list of at least 3 things that you like about yourself. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Okay. Um.
1. I am very loyal; once you win my trust I'm sticking around. (If you lose it, especially if you lose it by hurting someone I care about, good luck getting it back.) Loyalty applies to sports teams and tv shows as well.
2. I'm creative and I'm good at seeing a project (writing, sewing, certain crafts) in my mind's eye and breaking it down into the steps it'll take to complete the project to my satisfaction.
3. This is one that someone pointed out to me while I was teaching 4th graders, and I think hearing it from someone else propelled me to try consciously to do it even more: I'm good at reading people and accepting where they are, and going from there when it comes to engaging with them or teaching them. With kids especially, I will meet them where they are without judgement; I'm trying to be more like that with adults, too.
