So, I logged into my NEWO weight and exercise tracking software today for the first time this year. First thing I see is My Goal - which I set mid-second trimester last year: "No more than 200 before year end. Water-water-water! Calm, restful, reduce stress... somehow." Success! I didn't break 200 until this week! Woot-woot!
And I really did manage some stress reduction, though mostly just now with the doctor-mandated "That's enough!" from pretty much all my specialists. :-(
Now what shall I aim for? Lessee... I'm at week 33 right now. So... No more than 215 through the end of the pregnancy? Preferably... 205 today, a pound a week, so 210 if early-term, 215 if full-term? Yeah. 210. Let's aim for that.
No foolishnesses, now. Dessert once a week, says the NEWO guy. :-P Fruit isn't dessert, nor is veggies, so must do more of that. Dessert = something with sugar, like cookies. Did you know that tooth decay was virtually non-existent in Europe until the wide-spread use of sugar began? Hmm... just bought Starbursts - do I count those as fruit? LOL Max two a day, I think. Five today made my tongue feel raw. And only if I stretch (one) and go somewhere (two). /nod Make them rewards, only earn-able.
Stretches. Must needs do that every day. And walk somewhere. Not just from bed to recliner. I HURT if I don't and can't sleep at all. I think I'll need to go to the Library or Half-Price Books or Goodwill or something. Everyday. :-P Maybe church? *gasp* Novel idea!!! I can actually go to some of the mid-week, mid-day things I've been wishing I could get to since I learned about them!
Bed-time. Oo! It's nearly 10:00, should go to bed at 10:00, at the latest. I want a regular schedule for myself so my body knows what to expect and can adjust well. It's easier to track what's happening that's different when my schedule is regular.
Beyond birth. /blink It's hard to visualize. I was pregnant 3/4 of last year and will be nearly a 1/4 of this year. Weird seems normal... Clearly, testing and hopefully successful ablation are obvious. Beyond that - back into my skinny pants. /nod How? When? Um... After ablation, slow return to daily interval walks. Walks now are SLOW and easy with many breaks. Maybe skinny jeans by Christmas? By year-end? That's back to 165 by then, maybe 175 if still breast-feeding. I'll lose some with baby and fluid loss. So...that's what, 215-175 = 40 pounds in maybe six months if we ablate fairly quickly after the baby is born? 26 weeks, so less than two pounds a week is actually healthy, especially with 15 or so just melting away with the hormonal shifts.
Sounds good to me. Ding! Bed-time! Love y'all!
