Keeping it Together...
So Shawn is on deployment... has been now for two months. I got to talk to him on Thursday and Friday before he went back "under water" for an undisclosed amount of time. Honestly, I am still numb. I always go through a few days of denial where I still expect the phone to ring and for him to say "Just kidding!". I expect in a few more days I will have myself a decent purging cry and be fine until I talk to him again. Sounds so silly when you read it but whatever... this is my choice and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Ellie is doing great. Growing like a weed. Smart as hell. In a month she will be two years old! It seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital... I swear if it was not for that little girl... I would be spending my days in a padded room for sure. She's my inspiration. I am grateful to be her mommy...
