Happy 4th to all those in the USA!

Jul 03, 2009 15:13

Americans have very set holiday standards, with the 4th of July being the exception to many traditions. Whereas we get together with family and friends in the privacy of our homes on Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years, etc. to eat, drink, and be merry; on the 4th, we get together with friends, family, and neighbors out of doors to eat, drink, and be merry while blowing the hell out of a lot of fireworks. It's a tradition, we have to do it. It's our patriotic duty to at least watch it on tv, if we can't light the fuses ourselves.

And it's pretty. ^____^
